Mirror Sites | USA Advance | Y.A.S.S. | VOICE INFORMATION I must be a weird person, because voices in games interest me a lot. (Same as in dubbed animes; perhaps I'm meant to be a voice actor?) Anyway, since the GBA is capable of clear voices now, I am very interested. I didn't know how the voices in MKSC would turn out. Would Toad sound like a frog like in SMA? Would Yoshi finally talk like in Yoshi's Story? Would Luigi sound evil like in Mario Party 3? I didn't know. Much to my surprise, the original Japanese voices were used! The voice of Mario is the same Mario voice that's always used, by that Charles guy. ^_~ Luigi's voice sounded good, higher than Mario's, but not too different. Peach's was just right. Not annoying like in MK64, but tough. I like her voice. Toad sounds absolutely adorable, right down to his "Yeah ho!" LOL. Yoshi, finally, acquired his Yoshi's Story voice. High-pitched and midgit-sounding (listen to him when he shrinks). Its so cute. Donkey Kong still can't talk, but instead grunts, oohs, and aahs. Wario isn't as much as evil, but low and mean now. Bowser still roars. However, about 3 or 4 voice samples for each character were used, so its rather repetetive. There's a happy (pick them, win, etc.), a happy 2 (hit someone with a shell), sad (spin-out), scream (fall-off), etc. Nothing real major, which is kind of a shame. Still, hearing the characters talk is great! Don't own a Japanese version of MKSC or MK64 and you want to hear their voices? The first Mario Party does not have translations for the voices. I'm not positive about Mario Party 2, but I'm sure that Mario Party 3 doesn't (Toad isn't translated in any of them since you can't play as him). Go check them out! I am currently at work at getting WAV files of these voices from MK64 (JAP). Mario, Luigi, and all related characters are trademarks of Nintendo of America. All rights reserved.
