The R390GT1 Road Car buy Nissan without a doubt is the most underrated car
in GT2. With the two most popular contenders the GT-One Road car and the Susuki
Escudo no one stops to think about the R390GT1 Road Car. Maxing speeds of over
250 mph on the test course and still pumping the throtal this makes the R390GT1
Road Car the car with the most top speed in the game. The GT-One and the Escudo
stay well below 250 on a two lapper in the test course. Awarded

Unlock the Event Generator and race with it on the last page of the GT

180°
Sometimes even the best racers get in a wipe out. If your facing backwards.
Hold the emergency brake (O Button) and hold down the gas. This will keep the
car from backing up to slow at first. Then get going backwards down the road,
and do not try to make any major adjustments in steering or you'll end in a
tailspin. Now once your at a reasonable speed (30 - 40 mph) ease off the gas and
crank the steering wheel right or left and once your car is almost facing
forward press the emergency brake (O Button) and put the petal to the metal. Loosing
Speed
On a straight away you may be loosing speed and not even know about it. This
happens when your swerving around all over the place trying to stay in a
straight line. While your doing this a computer might just blow right past you.
Try not to steer to much on a straight away. Special
Car Menu
Most of the time in the "Special Department" of the dealership
there will be more than one car. Press the up direction on your D-Pad and press
the Right Arrow. Best
Tires
The best tires to use in the game are "Racing Super Soft" unless
your competing in an endurance race. Then harder tires are more appropriate. Pre-Race
Part Setup
If you have a car that has a lot of modifications to it and it has 500hp but
the race you want to enter has a limit of 300hp well then take your car to the
Machine Test place and choose an event. Then go to the "Settings" menu
and change your parts and then exit the machine test and go race. Super
License
After completing the "International A" license you can go to
another page in the license menu and select the "Super License". Game
Status Symbol
Ever wonder what that yellow and green symbol is well that is sort of like a
medal just under bronze. Basically its a failure medal. Rearrange
Your Garage
Just press the "Start" button. Say you have five cars in your
garage, if you select the second car only the first two will switch. If you
select the fifth car all of the cars will pass through the first slot. Defending
1st Place
Sometimes on a long straight away a computer will have the urge to pass you
if your slow enough. You need to look behind you and try to stay in front of
him, the computer will eventually give up and he will push you down the straight
away but be aware of Mister 3rd place probably will sneak past you because you
might be swerving around to much. Specials
Some cars in the "Special Menu" of the dealerships if they have
one may be given a Turbo Boost. Some parts may be added and may not. A good
example is Nissan's 500000 dollar Skyline, this can have a lot of parts added. Playing
Dirty (4 Parts)
Part 1 - Take Special Stage R5 for instance, you don't think to much of it
but this is a potentially dangerous course for the AI. You just don't know it.
At the entrance to the pit is a barrier, get on the right side of the computer
and shove him over so he hits the barrier, dropping him to sixth place and you
wont have to worry about him. Part
2 - Another potential hazard is grass and dirt. This slows down acceleration a
lot. Say your taking a left turn up ahead and there's a computer on the right
side of the road just in front of you. You can corner off of him and shove him
into the dirt. Another great way to get a computer off your back. Part
3 - Another way to screw up the computer and is a hilarious one to pull off is
to position yourself directly behind the computer when your approaching a tight
hairpin. He'll have to brake twice as hard and you don't have to brake as much,
the result he goes flying into the wall at the hairpin. Part
4 - Everyone should know how to do this. Use the computer to get around a turn
by cornering off of him at the turn. The computer will hold you around the
corner and after the turn the computer will be in the wall. New
Cars in the Used Car Section
Yes, every ten days there is a fresh new batch of 5 new cars or so in the
used car section. The first sixty days are the best to look for classic and
historic cars. Once the ten days are over you might not be able to get that car
again. Power
to Weight Ratio
Power to weight ratio plays a big part in GT2. Often times you would prefer
a big powerful muscle car over a Honda civic, but the fact is if you don't
bother to reduce the weight of your car your not getting the most out of it. If
you think a car with four hundred horsepower and weighs 2 tons than think again.
Sumitted hints from GT2 fans
Get a very fast car such as the RUF Turbo that is 444,000 and juice the car
to its full horse"s. The horse power shall be 656. Enter the car in the race
that is only for Turbo cars. Go to the Test track and win a quick
and easy
50,000. Email.
Buy a used Mitsubishi 3000GT (Doesn't matter what kind of 3000GT, usually around the price of $20,000) and get money to fully tune it up, and you will get about 680
HP out of it. Email
Cheap as it may sound, when taking a tight curve you know could make the
difference between winning and losing the last lap of an endurance race,
getting enough spped and being in a good enough position, you can bounce off
the other car to knock them out and put you in front. I affectionately call
this move "The Eliminator". When taking seriously deadly turns, such as the
Corkscrew at Laguna Seca or coming from under the highway on the last part of
the Seattle Circuit, this move has helped me win more races than I can count.
A variation of this move can also help you bounce off walls if you find
yourself going into one. The key is the angle. If you hit the right spot a
little on the borad side, you'll usually slide right through like wet soap.
If you don't, you end up stuck in the dirt facing the wrong side of the
finish line. Email
