3 years have passed since I updated this site? It can't be possible! In November, 2007 our branch of Barton's Brats welcomed our newest addition, ten years in the making. Era Kennard Medina arrived on the 20th of the month weighing in at 7 lbs. 15 oz. He is a delight, a joy and I finally know what all the other Grandma's have been bragging about all these years.

On the genealogy front, I have found alot of new information about Philip and his family out in California, including another daughter Mary (how did I miss her before), and a husband for youngest daughter Maud. Check out the additions starting on Philip's page.

Per Ann Lusk, another Abner descendant, we now know for sure that Abner's name was Abner Powell and not Abner Philip.

Per Tracy Faulkner, a descendant of Mira Adeline, we now know that Mira's name was not Mira, but Micah or Mekey. It appears she was named after Thomas Johnson's wife. What we are unsure of -- since Thomas Johnson's wfie was also a Johnson -- is whether it's Thomas or Mekey who is the sibling of Isabella. One of them certainly is; the other is probably a cousin.

Philip is FOUND!! Per Ann Lusk, it is now known that the elusive Philip followed the gold fever to California where he married and had children. This means that there are Philip descendants out there just waiting to be found! View the new information we have on Philip's page.
