"Words of Endearment"

Verse 1

How can I explain to you
what is difficult to understand.
I know your words are true
but it makes me uneasy to stand.

 Verse 2
********

You use words like sweetheart
or darling, or good looking now,
and I don't understand my part;
just doing Father's work somehow.

Verse 3
********

It sometimes is hard to comprehend
a word or phrase of intense feeling;
yet knowing it is true from a friend,
thus my mind and heart are reeling.

 Verse 4
********

Words of endearment are foreign to me;
for what does another say and mean.
Yet from you they come and let me see
as if in life I've now left a while to dream.

Verse 5

So forgive me if I shy away for a while
and ponder deeply this new kind of love,
it takes getting used to like a life style;
yet it is from Heavenly Father above.
