"The Words Have Feelings"

Verse 1

It has been said,
"Only words have we
by which to know
of another."

 Verse 2
********

But this is not so
I think there is more,
much more to it;
than merely words
spoken or read today.

Verse 3
********

We have feelings
and actions too;
we have a bond
of love to another.

 Verse 4
********

This bond extends
from way before
to way beyond
and is not just words.

Verse 5
********

But labors and works
worn with time
and grace of age.

 Verse 6
********

We go beyond
the definition
of a simple sound
or syllable.

Verse 7
********

We have actions
you and I
which in turn
are feelings known.

 Verse 8
********

We say, "I love you,"
and it from deep
within a knowledge
and the prompting's
of the spirit.

Verse 9
*******

For strong feelings
state the truth
is known of
words spoken;
from actions taken
and works done
of long, long ago.
