Not from now or here
but from before
this time and space
was created we knew.

For I can tell by the feeling
to have wandered in
to sacred spaces
within hallowed places.

As a sister or brother,
a niece, a nephew
a son, a daughter
an aunt or an uncle.

Just around a corner,
one more name on a list
to check or to say hi
to recognize a mother.

Is the strength of the spirit
to whisper you've met
before in another time
and in a better place.
