Verse 1

It is not to be a knight
for there are many
throughout the land
of time and space
so known by man
that we call Earth.

Verse 2
********
Yet with so much work
to be accomplished
you will most likely
never meet a fellow knight
let along any knight at all
during your mortal probation's.
|
Verse 3
********
You see the criteria are many,
none claim to have them all.
The part that is hardest
is to be obedient to that
which you've been assigned
to do in while on this earth.

Verse 4
********
They come in all sizes and forms
wearing many different uniforms
with some known to none at all;
while other reveal themselves
so there will be no mistake
before the judgment bar.

Verse 5
********
In my lifetime I've met several,
have been able to speak with
and to exchange information;
inspired by and taught to know
of what was expected to grow
and even more the example to show.
|
Verse 6
********
The first was old man named Charlie,
a hired hand upon a farm where I lived.
The second wore the uniform of a nun,
I was four and five years old in first grade.
The third was a Catholic priest who taught
and discussed the Bible, I was ll-16 years old.
