The days of knight started
long ago before the time of man
and the mortal probation we know;
there were first mentors to teach
and counsel for others to pick the craft,
while many others accomplished other tasks.

Verse 2

The criteria for a knight is not difficult
to learn or know, but most would rather
on another assignment go than to be a knight.
Thus I'll explain so as you look around today
maybe in your journey you will recognize
another who in this life performs the role of knight.

First we learn of how quiet and their feelings
almost never show thus the intelligence is there
but again not for others to know or to show.
A knight has a strong love of God and respect
of others who do the same, while disregarding
those who only like to use or play the game.

Again a knight works hard to the point
of a almost a punishment to quit before
the job is done or before another finishes,
they're the last to leave and the first to arrive.
Then this knight is generous to a fault
where man is concerned to think of softness.

Thus a knight becomes everything to some
a mother, father, brother, sister, to take care
of another or others really the only calling
associated with the being of a knight to serve;
while others are allowed to wander or pander
the goal of knighthood is to love all others.

Verse 6

The Children find a knight strange but soft.
They are attracted towards by both the fairness
and the sword that shows forth the love one desires.
Strangers meet them most often when least expected
for too help another is to help and not just talk.
Spouses have the hardest times to understand a knight.
