there's a bright golden breeze on the meadow, there's a bright golden breeze on the meadow....
......and the corn is as high as an elephants eye, and it's just about to touch the sky... or however that goes. holy crap i just can't get all those oklahoma tunes out of my head. i bet i'll have "oh what a beautiful mornin" in my head for like the next week. anyways more on the play: on looking back at the dream scene, i don't think that choreography was very good. i mean the dancing seemed almost too rigid and a bit awkward. i don't think they had a trained dancer for the part of laurie and curly in the dream scene (not to be mistaken for the other people who played laurie and curly in the other parts of the play, you guys were great!). it probably would've been better if there was more rehearsal time and proper dance lessons but hey time and money are at a premium for our school. but i think it went pretty well. i enjoyed the skidmore farm scenes with the auction and those dance parts were pretty good. hey josh you did an excellent job in the part of will parker! keep up the good work! and that goes for everyone else too! you know i wonder why i'm writing all of this because probably no one who was in the play reads this anyways. oh well. oh and if you're reading this, feel free to leave a comment. i'd like to hear what you all think!

oh what a beautiful morning, oh what a beautiful day...
...i've got a beautiful feeling, everything's going my way... or however it goes. well the play actually went alright. sure there were a bunch of mistakes but hey i could tell they all worked really hard at it and they did the best that they could. and i think it payed off. there was almost a full house tonight and beforehand there was a huge line outside. and a standing ovation at the end. i believe it was a fine night for a show....

oooooooooooooooooooooklahoma where the wind goes a sweepin down the plain....
well tonight is opening night for our high school drama production. it's the play "oklahoma" and it's probably going to be awful but hey i figured i'd go and see it. maybe this will actually be a good play of ours. i mean i remember when they did "music beads and flowers" and "flapper" i believe that those productions were complete disasters. and i didn't see the production at the beginning of this year because i figured it was probably just crap like the rest of them. i don't think it's the kid's fault, we don't have well qualified voice coaches and directors and pretty crappy moral since the teachers that help with this are usually the one's that you dislike a lot. and i remember it was this duet between these two people during the play "flapper" and one of the microphones died. so one person was singing louder than the other one. and the main person in that play couldn't hit the loud notes. this "oklahoma" they're doing tonight could be another nuclear meltdown or it could turn out to be a good one. i'll have to wait and see. oh lord help our poor souls....

the new job
well hey i'd figured that i'd put this in here. just got a call from charlie who runs the coffee and peanut shop down on the corner and he said i can start on a sunday on may 2nd. so that's good that i have a job now. $6 an hour. i'd be working 11 to 5 and romelle will be teaching me how to make all those sample packet things. and the ironic thing was, i got the phone call while i was drinking a freshly brewed cup. good to the last drop....

rainy days
it's still been raining here. geez. i think it's supposed to clear up and warm up by the weekend. i would certainly hope so. i finished that job application and sent it in and i'll most likely be starting may 1st. so that will be neat. there was a fantastic double rainbow yesterday evening after it finished raining. that was probably the clearest definition of colors i have ever seen in a rainbow. maybe it's a sign of good fortune. that would be nice. we played wiffle ball today in gym and that was alright. i'm not too good at it but i did ok today. i also finished this new drawing because i'm trying not to use any lines in my drawings. it's hard. but it's an interesting change of style. i think that change is good once and a while. and change is life. so excercising change is excercising life.

it's monday after lunch....
well i just finished 2 hours homework, taking out the garbage, cleaning the turtle filter and filling out a job application. whew! i needed a break so i figured i'd get on here and write all this down. for that job, i'll be starting on may 1st most likely. that's a week after the band trip so this gives me some time to think all this over. the band trip is in about 2 weeks i believe. we had trip band practice this morning and we sounded alright. i was like the only 2nd part player there so there were some parts where none of the other parts play so it was kind of like a solo lol. so that was interesting. and then later on in the day we had regular 9th grade band practice. we also had jre practice after school so i played a lot today. i think i have lessons tomorrow. wow what a busy band life it is. it's been raining like the dickens here and i wish the weather would get better soon. it's been rainy and cold and windy. geez i wish spring would just get going but it seems like it's having generator problems. lol. oh and we played this game called attack in gym. it's kind of like dodgeball. if we play it again tomorrow because of the weather, the other class will fear my wrath! lol. overall a good but exhausting day....

easter sunday
well it's nearly 8:00 pm here and we finished our easter dinner. those cornish hens were pretty good. also, finished cat sitting so i'll get some more money soon. i've earned around $140 and that money is solely for the band trip. that's coming up really soon. i can't wait. lol. i think one of these days i'm gonna take my guitar to school again and jam during 7th period study hall down in the band room. that would be fun....

'twas the night before easter, and all through the house, not a creature was stirring, not even those dang gophers
well i'd figure i'd change the title of the blog. i like the little symobls. so this is the sequel. a sequel of what you may ask? well i don't know. lol. tell me what you think. i just got an application for that job down at the coffee shop and charlie gave me this book to read about coffee and tea. it's pretty neat stuff so far. me being a coffee person and all. and he said that coffee from asian countries is full bodied. yeah that's right. full bodied to the last drop.
