In the first Changeling game I ever played in (Will’s Heart of Winter), I came to my first session with no character created yet and hoping to play a pooka. Because fellow player Robert was already a pooka, I changed my mind and settled on a sluagh. She became Caillean, my first character, a tracker who would eventually visit Arcadia, become a knight of House Fiona, and start a religion among the butterflies. A few months after playing in Heart of Winter, I started my own game, which had a heavy dose of sluagh in the plot, and with that in mind I began to scour the web for information and suggestions on what had quickly become my favorite kith. I was very disappointed by the scattered quality of the information I found, and made it a goal of mine to put up a section about sluagh on Something Blue. This is the result… some background information, flaws and merits, ideas, recommendations, and a few things that are just here for fun.
