The American Society of Media Photographers-New Jersey is proud to present a symposium on the complex world of photography book publishing. This symposium is designed to be a lively, interactive “how to” session. A panel of publishing experts and photographer authors will share their wide knowledge and experience on the subject. Photographers interested in getting their book ideas and proposals published, will find this symposium enlightening.
The Panel consists of the following professionals.
Tad Crawford, author of 14 books including Legal Guide for the Visual Arts and Legal Forms for Photographers and is the President and Publisher of Allworth Press and Helios Press.
Arie Kopelman, a legal expert for the photography community and the author of Selling Your Photography.
Walter Choroszewski, author and self-publisher of photography books and wall calendars.
Susan McCartney, author of Wild Life Photography and Travel Photography and has had her photographs appear in various magazines.
Walter Chandohn, author of over 25 books including How to Shoot and Sell Animal Photos and has had his photographs appear on magazine covers Fortune 500 advertisements and even billboards.
Panel Moderator – Jon Naar, a lifetime ASMP member and author or co-author of 11 books including The Faith of Graffiti.
The nonprofit Watchung Arts Center is located “on the circle” in Watchung, easily reached from Route 22 (Plainfield overpass) or Interstate 78 (exit 40). There is ample free parking adjacent to the building, or around the corner at Best Lake.
