To Raise Funds for RAINN

8pm  $10
or more Donation)

A silent charity art auction organized by Lauren Jacquish will be held at the Watchung Arts Center at 8:00 pm on March 28th. There will be excellent live music and refreshments.

Lauren states, “ I have been trying to figure out ways to support a cause that has been the focus of my attention since I realized just how many rape survivors are in my life and around the world. I am not affiliated with RAINN but I believe it to be a vital organization that needs support, especially because RAINN receives no government funding"

RAINN is on Worth magazine’s list of “America’s 100 Best Charities.” For more information on RAINN visit www.RAINN.org.  Lauren added, “I hope that with all the talented artists that we have in this area we can put together a great show and in turn contribute to something that needs our help as artists.  My own personal belief is that everyone has something to give whether it is time or resources.” The theme of the show is “Empowering Women” and focuses on making a statement against violence towards women and girls.

Featured artists include E. Angelastro, Denise Barbarita, Anika Beyer Shaun Daley, Alicia DeFrange, Simone DiSilva, Crystal Haupt, Dale Jacquish, Lauren Jacquish, Theresa Kedzoria, Jamie Matson, Kathleen Matson, Sean McGrory, Kristine Paige, Joe Rechia, Heather Schompie, Lydia Watson and many more local artists, and various local and out of state musicians

Musicians that have committed to performing:

all playing for charity. Every artist has used their own personal style and background to create a unique variety of art so everyone attending is sure to find something that catches their eyes or ears. Hopefully the show will make an impact on every attendee whether they decide to purchase a work of art, have their own fundraiser event, or to take a stand against violence against women in their own lives.

The nonprofit Watchung Arts Center is located “on the circle” in Watchung, easily reached from Route 22 (Plainfield overpass) or Interstate 78 (exit 40).  There is ample free parking adjacent to the building, or around the corner at Best Lake.
