The Watchung Arts Center exhibits crafts by two fine crafts artists from November 3rd to the -29th, 1998. Our crafts exhibits are located directly inside our front door in the glass cases. Each month two local artists show their work which can be seen during our office hours Monday-Saturday from 1-4pm or during our Artist Reception which is Sunday, November 8 from 1-4pm.
Inge Rist Lincoln is a fused glass artist from Plainfield. As a child Inge took a trip to Italy and was in awe of the magnificent stained glass windows. She started her craft work with creating stained glass and then moved onto fusing and painting on glass. She has shown and exhibited throughout New Jersey and has even had pieces displayed in the Swains Gallery. Her company name is Morningside Fused Glass which she established and with the talent and beauty she brings to glass, we are sure she will prosper.
Rachel Wintemberg lives in Berkeley Heights and spends most of her time with clay. Rachel is a graduate of Montclair State University who demonstrates unique design in her ceramics and pottery. Rachels pieces tend to take on shapes and hints of animals, although she also creates vases and containers. She has exhibited in craft shows all over with her lively and enchanting pieces
