The Original Hambone Kelly’s
Great Nostalgia Band
A Unique Experience in Festive Entertainment

Concert: Saturday, May 8th at 8pm

During the late 1970’s there existed a night club know as Hambone Kelly’s. It was located in the old train station in Boonton, NJ and soon became known as a place for great fun and unique musical entertainment. The club is long gone but the band, which was its featured attraction, and which brought so much joy and fun to thousands of people is still going strong today. Known for many years as "The Original Hambone Kelly’s Banjo Band" they have been delighting audiences since 1981 in varied performances in parks, restaurants, race tracks, State Fairs, promotions, political rallies, fund raising events, picnics, grand openings, special events of all kinds, and of course, concerts.

All the members of the band have extensive experience in the music and entertainment scene in New York City and New Jersey especially with the old sing-along clubs of the past, Your Father’s Mustache and The Red Garter. Changing its name to The Great Nostalgia Band in 1966, this unique organization still utilizes concept based on audience participation and a unique blend of sing-a-long tunes, dixieland jazz, games and outrageous bits with nostalgic medleys that have audiences of every age screaming for more. Costumed in striped vests and arm garters they come on to an audience like gangbusters and can have an entire room clapping their hands and singing along to old favorites like "Heart of My Heart" and "Side by Side" in a matter of minutes. Fabulous musicianship, side splitting jokes and even more ending in the famous Hambone Kelly Salute to America Finale with every member of the audience on their feet and singing their hearts out. It is irresistible entertainment of the highest professional quality. Sit back and relax....if you can. The happy sound of The Original Hambone Kelly’s Great Nostalgia Band is contagious and is guaranteed to leave you begging for more!
