A Great
Night of Comedy at the Watchung Arts Center |
||
Welcome back my friends to the Comedy that never ends! It's gonna be another, yes another, great evening filled with lots of side-spliting laughter.
John McMenamin, (newly married) will serve as emcee and host for the evening of laughs. John will start off with some wedding wisdom and satire to loosen up the audience. We are fortunate to have John host this performance, he has performed at comedy clubs around the country and will set the stage for a guaranteed fun and funny evening.
Chris Coccia our headliner, started performing stand up in Philadelphia in the mid-eighties. His act is based on events and situations in his life, including marriage and fatherhood. Chris played Catch A Rising Star, Funnybones, the Improv in D.C. and other clubs around the country. His television performances include "Stand Up and Deliver", "The Thing That Only Eats Hippies", Comedy Central and A.M. Live to name a few. With a fine wit and a light-hearted touch Chris will surely keep you laughing.
Our third comic comes to us from Chris but he hasnt yet disclosed the comics name. So for now, we can only say that the comic will be a well traveled humorist with a spark and possibly even a disguise (it is October). This amusing evening starts at 8pm on Saturday, October 24, 1998. Seating is limited and you should call ahead (908) 753-0190 to reserve your seats. Our Comedy Series is starting to draw a larger and larger crowd each month. The "Imaging Aging" exhibition can be viewed after the show while enjoying our light refreshments.
The Watchung Arts Center always has exceptional Art exhibits, new each month. The Center also offers a growing list of class programs as well as a photography forum, theater classes and more. A membership for you and your family stimulates the creative mind, introduces you to a large support group who shares your interests and sustains the center.
Dont forget to come back for our adult Halloween Party on Saturday, October 31st at 9pm. There'll be spooky music, interesting refreshments, plenty of costumes and props and a Chinese Auction!
