In only a couple of more weeks
the kids will be home from school. After savoring a few precious hours of
well-earned freedom you are bound to hear those time-honored words- “Mom,
I’m bored!” What are you going to do? Why not save yourself the time and
trouble and look into the center’s summer mini art camp for kids? It’s
guaranteed to keep them busy and give you some time to savor for yourself!
While enrolled in the center’s summer Mini-Art Camp your children can explore the world of creative arts. The camp will run from July 11 through August 17 in two cycles of two weeks each, (the first cycle is already filled to capacity). Parents may still enroll their children, ages 6-12, in one or both cycles that are still open.
Camp will be Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with a mid-day lunch break. The program includes six workshops per day: drawing, painting, sculpting, multi-media art and masks. Activities will be held indoors and out depending on the weather and nature of the session.
Veteran instructor Monica Otero, a skilled and talented art teacher, will lead the program. She has also arranged for surprise visits by performers and other guests. Sessions will be lively!
The fee per cycle is only $155 per student. Members of the non-profit Watchung Arts Center pay only $135 per cycle. All necessary art supplies are included in both prices. Call (908)-753-0190 today. Don’t wait for summertime boredom to set in!
