International Vocal Artist, Michele Bautier
with the Songbook of Great American Standards

CONCERT: Friday, August 13th, 1999 at 8pm

On Friday, August 13th at 8pm Michele Bautier will be singing Great American Standards, including songs by such notables as Cole Porter, George Gershwin, Duke Ellington, Harold Arlen, Jerome Kern, Johnny Mercer, Rodgers and Hard, Kurt Weil and Irving Berlin. Tickets are only $10 and reservations (which will be held at the door) can be made early by calling the office and leaving a message (908) 753-0190.

Michele Bautier has a style that expresses her personal love and emotion which she brings to each song. She has a spontaneity and passion with a voice that is an instrument of exceptional range and purity. Her arrangement of ‘Love for Sale’ will bring tears to your eyes.

Michele has been a Broadway star and plays not only New York’s best nightclubs but also performs Internationally. Her Broadway experience made her aware of how to read the audience giving her a personal touch so that she seems to be singing to everyone individually. When she sings "I Get a Kick Out of You", "Willow Weep for Me" or "My Funny Valentine" you’ll hear the range and precision she has perfected over the years. Her voice is so smooth and defined those standards will sound new and refreshing.

As always the Diva Series at the centrally located Watchung Arts Center brings you the finest of female voices. We take special pride in being able to bring these fine artists into our community at such a low ticket price. Don’t miss this wonderful performance.
