John Arnold’s Silver Photography

HH01730_.wmf (4216 bytes)

John Arnold is a studio photographer who has worked on journal ads, slim jims, brochures, direct mailer’s and multi-image slide presentations. As a freelance photographer and animator he has worked on many projects. Most recently John has been working at Ciba-Geigy Pharmaceutical as the Head Photographer in their Multi-Media Department.

John is not only a technician on cameras and equipment but has added to his talents working with computer programs to enhance his images and create beautiful brochures. His love however is in the dark room where he is experimenting with silver prints. The black and white image are strengthened by allowing the silver to come through giving his nature photographs an awesome feel. "Enoch’s Place" shows his precision and eye for beauty.

John is a graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology with a degree in Photo Illustration. He has exhibited work in the "CutBank" a fine arts poetry magazine, at the Joy of Life, juried show and finished first place in ASMP New Jersey, juried show to mention only a few.

On Sunday, May 15th at the Watchung Arts Center, there will be an opening reception for all of the artists displaying work in our galleries. This reception gives you an opportunity to meet the artists and discuss techniques with them. The opening is free and open to the public. If you can’t make the opening, John Arnold’s photographs will be on display from May 3- May 29 during our gallery hours, Monday through Saturday 1-4pm.
