Marlene VerPlanck Interprets Popular Song

The Diva Series at the Watchung Arts Center is bring the sweet mellow song of Marlene VerPlanck on Friday, May 7th at 8pm. Tickets are only $10 and reservations can be made by calling (908) 753-0190.

Marlene has 15 albums in her repertoire to select songs from and in each you’ll hear pure perfection. Marlene Ver Planck has a trademark voice, her perfect diction and savvy phrasing make her singing the purest. "Marlene Meets Saxomania" recorded in France was a huge success because of her flawless ability to project and her outstanding range. Of course, no recording can capture the warmth of a live performance. Her interpretations of popular songs have set her above the rest.

Marlene comes from Clifton and has played at a host of jazz venues such as Birdland, The Village Gate and Shangai Reds to name just a few. Just returning from a European tour and is gracing the Watchung Arts Center with this wonderful opportunity to hear her sing and swing.
