4th Annual Juried Photography Exhibit
July 1-31, 1998 at the Watchung Arts Center
On display will be a wide range of processes from silver gelatin black and white prints to hand colored and digital enhanced photos. The subject and composition are open to the artist's interpretation. Open expression and spirit will come through in colors and shadows, exemplifying emotion.
Judging will be done by Kristen Accola, Director of Exhibitions for Hunterdon Museum of Art in Clinton, Ahn Behren, Co-owner and Director of Cooper Gallery in Jersey City and Michael Bzdak, Curator of Art Program for Johnson & Johnson, New Brunswick. Two awards of Excellence and three Merit awards will be given.
All entries for this exhibit will be for sale, making this is an excellent opportunity for the public to purchase some of the finest works while supporting our local artists. The exhibit runs at the Watchung Arts Center from July 1-31 and then moves to the Children’s Specialized Hospital in Mountainside.
The Watchung Arts Center artist reception is Sunday, July 15, from 1 to 4pm and includes light refreshments. You can meet the artists and discuss their techniques and careers with them.
