Camp Starts: Tuesday, July 9th
Three days a week, six workshops per Day
What do you do to provide creative experiences for school age children over the summer? The Watchung Arts Center’s summer calendar includes a Mini-Art Camp for children, in which they can explore creative arts. The camp will run from July 9th through August 15th, in three cycles of two weeks each. Parents may chose to enroll their children ages 6 to 12 in one or more cycles.
Camp days will be Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 10am to 3pm, with a mid-day lunch break. The program includes six workshops per day: drawing, painting, sculpture, multi-media art and masks. Activities will be held indoors and out, depending on the weather and the nature of the session.
Veteran instructor, Monica Otero, skilled in both teaching and art, will lead the program, assisted by a small staff. She has also arranged for surprise visits by performers and other guests, so the sessions will be lively.
The fee per cycle is only $180 per student., Members of the non-profit Watchung Arts Center pay only $160 per cycle, a discount that could all but pay the modest membership dues. All necessary art supplies are included in the fee. Mini-Art Camp and membership information may be obtained by calling the Arts Center at 908-753-0190.
