Wo-ho
Mood:  chatty
Now Playing: Usher - Yeah
Topic: Everyday life
I started off by not studying. And then my phone rang. It was a friend of mine who wanted me to come with her to a music festival, Hultsfred, but I don't know if I'll get the money in time. After that I slept in front of the tv for a while. Finally I grabbed the phone and talked to my cousin and then went to see him, and his wife and their two kids and my grandparents and my other cousin. There was a lot of noise but I had fun.
At the end of the evening I went home to my mother and made her cook for me, we had some not so very tasty ciders and I fell asleep.

Theme night
Mood:  quizzical
Now Playing: Infinite Mass - No. 1 Swartskalle
Topic: Tv
Every now and then Swedish tv has these theme nights, and tonight's theme was racism and nazis.
I don't get it. I really don't get it! Haters (not sure if they were real nazis or just wannabes) from all over the world meet up to hate people from other countries. Who gets to decide which countries are in, and who to hate? They showed some people going to a meeting in Serbia, but if you asked a Swedish hater they would probably say that Serbs would be on the "to hate" list. It all reminds of a Dave Chapelle sketch.

But I guess I've always been clueless when it comes to these things.
In preschool my best friend was girl with big dark curly hair, and she was supposedly different because of that, people later told us, but I didn't get it. There was a boy who liked to play dress up with us girls, he was different they told me. I didn't get it.
For some reason I still remember the time when I was watching a movie with a bunch of friends, we were probably 10-13 years or something like that. And someone commented on the fact that the character of my fancy didn't look like us. I still didn't fully get it.
When we were about twelve or so, refugees started to come to our little village. At first we were fascinated and they became the center of attention. Suddenly there were so many and we were told to...not like them anymore.
It was also around that time that I discovered Salt'n'pepa, my cousins liking of LL, and Warren G's Regulate. Now I listened to strange music.
In high school I read about KKK and the civil rights movement in an attempt to understand. I tried to convince myself that I understood.
I've taken classes in American history and politics at uni. I've shouted at the tv during Crash .
I'm still not sure I get it.

Mood:  d'oh
Now Playing: Phil Collins - Another day in A Paradise
Topic: Everyday life
I went to the gym for the first time in a week.
Then I went to Systembolaget, and for the first time in four years I didn't have to show ID. I knew it!! I'm getting old!! Really old!! :(
After that I went to have lunch with my work out friends, and they decided on salads because they wanted to eat healthy. Ham and cheese salad with extra cheese, lots of dressing, pizza bread, and a Pepsi. Very nutritious ;) I was happy with my avocado salad, mineral water and no bread.
Finally I went to see a sick friend, she'd been home all week and she NEVER does that so you knew that she was really sick. Bought her some fruit and a Donald Duck sudoku book.
Spent all my money on useless things and went home and fell asleep without as much as looking at the stuff for class.

The recipe
Mood:  hungry
Now Playing: Missy Elliot - The Cookbook
Topic: Bad News
So, how did it go yesterday? Well, it would probably have tasted a bit better if I hadn't replaced all the ingredients with other ingredients, but it was okey... Although my can of corn exploded in my face, but that's the price you have to pay I guess...

BBQ
Mood:  on fire
Topic: Everyday life
My previous plans got cancelled, and I had plenty of time to study...so I decided to go and see my grandfather in the hospital instead. He's doing better now, still the subborn self that he is ;)

I made it home when my stomach started to hurt, I guess I only got myself to blame for that one though. Got it under control and went to see the happy couple from saturday. They had decided to surprise us with the first BBQ of the year so I had some nice finnish bread and cheese, and we sat out in the sun. Really nice. Drank a couple of ciders and started to feel a bit drunk, from a couple of ciders. We chatted and had a nice time.

I'm getting me a private limo!
Mood:  irritated
Now Playing: Doobie Brothers - Long Train Runnin'
Topic: Bad News
Yet another nightmare day. I didn't have class until 3 pm, but I was going to see the professor at 2, so I decided to leave early. Managed to catch the train with one minute to spare. Had 45 minutes to waste when I got of the train, so I decided to head for McDonald's and laugh at the fatties eating alone, until I realized that I was one of those fatties eating alone. Not that much fun anymore.
Went back to the station, and of course the stupid bus left early, and I missed it by a minute. Two hours wasted. Arrived late to the professor, and she wasn't too impressed with my non-existing essay, so of course I promised to hand it to her by the end of the week :/
Went to class, which didn't go as bad as expected. I even opened my mouth a couple of times...this week too *proud*
After class, I went to the bus stop, and waited...and waited...and waited... There were supposed to be three buses going by. I didn't even see one. Apparently, that was the wrong bus stop...again... Finally, a bus that went to the trainstation came by. Got on the train, and thought I'd be able to relax and study for a while, since the train would go almost all the way home. Of course it didn't that time, they were doing some repairs on the track and we had to get off at the next station, and take a bus from there. The only thing is that the bus takes a lot longer than the train, so I just made it to the final bus. Two minutes to spare. And the first thing I hear when I FINALLY get home is, "Oh, are you back already?!" I just wanted to kill someone.

Moi
Mood:  party time!
Now Playing: Finnish karaoke
Topic: Everyday life
I thought I'd have time to read some in the stupid book before going to work, but of course I didn't. I spent the entire day trying to choose an outfit.

I had lots of fun during the evening...even though some people only spoke finnish. We created some popular drinkrecipes, most people seemed to enjoy them...except for the ones ordering thing that weren't available of course...

Even the shoes (borrowed) were good...

One funny thing though, is that my old gym teacher from junior high was there, and she kept telling eveyone that I was an old student of hers. The funny part is that she's been going to movies where I used to work for over a year without as much as saying hello to me...

Didn't get home until 3.30 am. We had to stop and pet an hedgehog on the way :)
