Besir YUKSEL

Beşir YÜKSEL was born in Kırşehir (Turkey) in 1963. He finished his primary and secondary education in the same city in 1982. He graduated his high education in 1987 and became a Forest engineer from Faculty of Forestry in Istanbul University. The same year he completed is military service. He took MSc and PhD in 1989 and 1996 respectively.

He completed his master thesis named "Investigations on waterbirds which found in winter, in Kayseri-Sultansazlığı" in March 1989 and his doctorate thesis named "Investigations on the damaging insect species and of some predators and parasite species at the Oriental spruce in Turkey" in March 1996

He has published more than 15 scientific articles on Forest health, entomology, phytopathology, ornitology, etc. He is working at the Eastern Black-Sea Forest Research Institute and He has been working on 3 research projects as researcher or leader at Present. He built a biological control laboratuvar connected with bark beetles.

He can speak English at the mid-level. He is married and He has got four children.
