The Cathedral: Again
This is a view of the cathedral from the street in fron of it. It looks great now? Wait until a little bit later!
The Lincoln Castle Palace
Directly facing the cathedral is the castle. While I didn't take a photo of the fron gate, I did get some of the inside. This one is the palace. It is actually still used as a kind of county courthouse, so that is pretty neat.
The Courtyard
This whole area used to be covered by a small community that lived inside the castle walls. It was supported by the well that is in the courtyard. The statue is of George II, I think. It is either the king who lost the war with America, or his father. I can't remember now!
The Castle Wall

While we didn't walk on THAT part of the wall, we did walk on the wall for awhile. It was neat. I'm actually standing on a lookout tower right now. The building where the wall comes towards was the final resistance place in case the castle was beseiged. This was a wonderfully built castle. The new building became a prison.
The Castle Chapel

Inside the prison, there was a small chapel. Now look at all those little cubes. That was where the prisoners went. It was very enclosed, as will be seen on the next page. I feel sorry for all of them!
