The British Studies Lincoln Trip

All the students of Harlaxton had to go to Lincoln for a required British Studies trip. At first, I was kind of worried that it would be a lot like the good old high school field trips. However, I soon discovered that it was much more cool. We saw a lot of stuff, especially the amazing cathedral. I'm breaking this section into two parts: The town and caste for one part, and the cathedral for another. I hope you enjoy it!

The Cathedral from Below

The town was built first by the Romans, then the Normans. It was made in a very strategic location so that both the castle and the cathedral would dominate the countryside view. Here is but one view of the cathedral from the bottom of the hill.

Steep Hill

This is the bottom part of the hill known as "Steep Hill." Actually, this is not even near the bottom, but it is the bottom of the "Old Town." Sarah and Kyle look so cute! (Well, Sarah does, I'm not so sure of that Kyle guy!!:)

Old Books...

We went inside this old bookstore that was so cute. It had some books in it from the early 19th Century, so it was pretty exciting. This is a bad photo, but it still shows quite a bit!

A Bunch of Cool People

Here are a bunch of Harlaxton students standing around. We were waiting for our guides to the castle to show up... Hmmmmmm there is a phone booth......

In the booth!

Sure enough, when there is a phone booth, there is bound to be a lot of fun. So here is what we did! I couldn't fit (I'm a little fat!) so I got on top.
