PRR Locomotive Bell - As Found
PRR Locomotive Bell - As Found

Funny thing about this bell. Back in 1992 I started searching for one. About 8 months into my search I was at a local antique shop. Something on a dealers wall caught my eye. So to get a closer look I had to lean over an old Singer sewing machine. Doing so I put my foot under the sewing machine and I "kicked" something. Cripes, it was this PRR Bell. Honestly, thats how I found it, by accident. After placing a down payment, it ended up at home. The photo here is what it looked like. I did find out from the owner of the shop and thru her conversation with the dealer of that booth the bell was located in, the Bell came from an estate in Sewickley, Pa. H'mmm, thats were a lot of big wigs from the PRR lived. Restoration soon began.

I have a bell I'm trying to identify/restore. It came from my grandpop. All his brothers worked for PRR. Just looking online at pics this bell looks the closest. Its 13 high and I think 17"wide. I can send a pic just email me thanks, Joe.
