That way any KoD members will know where to go. What you do in your server, and what game you play is entirely up to you, this page is just for server advice. And by the way, when you serve you often have a slight advantage (I would know).

How to Kick People (Server Console):

Kicking people means ejecting them from the game, because they are betraying a lot, being insulting or using damn fuel cannons. Here's how to do it…

Quit the game, if you're playing. Find a shortcut for the Halo crack you use. It must be a shortcut, either on the desktop, start menu, or in the game folder.
Right-Click that shortcut, then go properties. At the top, under the ‘shortcut' tab, go to the bit where it says ‘target'. There is a line of text leading to the shortcut, something like:

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo\halo_1.02.exe"

In this box, add ‘ –console' to the end of this command line, outside the speech marks. Make sure there is a space before the hyphen. It should look something like:

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo\halo_1.02.exe" –console

Click OK. Now, when in game, press the key to the left of 1, above ‘tab'. This opens the console. Then type in the console ‘sv_players'. This brings up a list of all the players in the game. Find the number of the player you want to kick. Then type ‘sv_kick #' – where the # represents the number of the player you want to kick. For example: ‘sv_kick 2'. Make sure there is a space after ‘kick'.
The player should leave. That's it. Try not to get drunk on the power.

More Server Commands :

So far I've found some useful things – the best one being banning people. To do this, you must have done what it says above. Instead of typing ‘sv_kick #' you type ‘sv_ban #' – where # represents the number of the player, eg: ‘sv_ban 3'. When people are banned they go onto a ban list.

To un-ban someone, view the banlist by typing ‘sv_banlist'. Then take the number of the person you wish to unban, and type ‘sv_unban #' – eg: ‘sv_unban 4'. They can then join and play in your games again, if you believe in forgiveness.

You can change the maximum number of players in the game by typing ‘sv_maxplayers #' – eg:

‘sv_maxplayers 6', however the game must have ended for it to work. There are other commands too, but I'm not really sure about them.

My personal recommendation for the number of players depending on your internet connection:

2Mbit or above – Up to 16
1Mbit – Up to 10 or sometimes 12
512kb – Up to 6 or sometimes 8
256kb – 4 or so
56k – yeah right!

Note that having loads of people might not always work, as you die too often and there may be lag when too many people get too close. Try a 16 player game on Battle Creek for proof. With lots of people it's better to play team games, and to put on more vehicles.
