               Episode # 38 - Yugi Vs. Pegasus - Match of the Millennium (4)

     Tristan and Yami Bakura are still arguing about Mokuba's body.  Yami Bakura tells Tristan that he isn't the real Bakura.  He is the soul that lives inside the Millennium Ring.  He says that he wants Mokuba's body to use as a vessel and promises that if he gives him the body, everything will turn back to normal.  Tristan eyes the Millennium Ring and hatches a plan.  He holds out Mokuba and when Bakura comes to get him, he throws Mokuba at him.  While Bakura is distracted Tristan knocks Bakura out.  He steals the ring and throws it deep into the forest below the castle.  He picks up Bakura and Mokuba and carries them both back to the duel, where Pegasus's strange darkness has covered the entire arena.  Tea and Joey see Tristan coming and they tell him what happened.  Tristan realizes that it is the Shadow Realm and all three of them head down to the lower level.

     Inside the Shadow Realm, the duel between Yugi and Pegasus continues.  Yugi knows that little Yugi can't stay long in the Shadow Realm and so does Pegasus.  He plans on getting rid of little Yugi so he can use his Millennium Eye again.  Yami begins the turn when little Yugi argues that they must still work together as long as possible.  Little Yugi draws a card and ends his turn.  Pegasus plays Relinquished, a monster with no attack or defense points but a very special power.  Unaware of this power, Yugi plays Curse of Dragon in attack mode.  Already Yugi can't last staying in the Shadow Realm and he starts to loose strength.  Yami tells him to hold on for a few more turns.

     Outside the Shadow Realm, Tea fells Yugi's pain and knows that he is in trouble.  Tristan and Joey fell it too.  Tristan explains the dark powers he saw Yami Bakura use and Tea thinks that the Dark powers and the Shadow Games are beyond their comprehension.  Meanwhile, Pegasus is taking his time playing on magic or trap card before ending his turn.  Now Yugi's hands are shaking and Yami realizes that he only has a little more energy left.  Yami comes out and attacks Relinquished with Curse of Dragon.  As he attacks, Pegasus activates Relinquished's special ability.  The Eye of Annibus on it's face glows while Pegasus explains that it uses it's ability to steal the enemy's power for itself but this isn't the worst thing yet.

     Pegasus fuses Relinquished with Thousand Eyes Idol to create Thousand-Eyes Restrict!  It sucks up the Curse of Dragon.  Pegasus then end his turn.  Yami is now confused.  He decides to attack with the Dark Magician.  When he does, the dragon is destroyed instead of Pegasus's monster and Yugi's Life Points are lowered to 400.

     On Pegasus's turn, he uses the special power to trap the Dark Magician inside the Thousand Eyes Restrict.  Yami sees no way to win.  From within his heart, Yugi tells Yami that he can't let Pegasus read his mind.  He offers to go outside while Yami thinks of a strategy.  Yami knows Yugi won't last a long time but Yugi insists on fighting and he gives in.  Yugi immediately fells the effects of the Shadow Realm and begins to draw a card.  He asks the Heart of the Cards to make it a card that he can use to defeat Pegasus.  Yugi looks disappointed but plays the card in the magic/trap zone and plays Feral Imp in defense.  Pegasus begins his turn slowly and destroys the Feral Imp.  Yugi falls to his knees and struggles, telling himself he must defeat Pegasus.  He passes out and land on the ground unconscious.  Outside, Tea and the others feel something bad has just happened to Yugi.

     Yami tries desperately to wake his other self.  Pegasus laughs and says that Yugi wasn't made to play this game in the Shadow Realm.  Joey is frustrated that Yugi might be hurt and Tea runs into the darkness but runs right back out.  She sticks her hand in and it reaches back for her.  Tristan runs into it and right out the other side.  There is no way in!

     Yami Yugi has brought himself out and says he will not forgive Pegasus.  Pegasus just laughs and says that with the other Yugi gone, he can use mind scan now.  Yami draws a card and Pegasus immediately knows it is the Winged Dragon.  The only card that Pegasus doesn't know is the face down card on the field, but neither does Yami.  Yami plays his dragon and Pegasus destroys it with Thousand Eyes Restrict.  Then Pegasus plays Jigen Bakudan (200/1000).  He explains that in two turns, all monsters on the field will be destroyed and their owners will loose life points accordingly.  Yami knows that since Thousand Eyes Restrict has 0 attack points, Pegasus will remains safe.  However, the Dark Magician will also be destroyed and Yami will loose.  his hand contains Magical Mist, Multiply, Burning Land, Kuriboh and Monster Recall. Yami Yugi knows he can only draw but Pegasus will see though his card as soon as he looks at it. Pegasus feels that with the Mind Scan working for him again, Yami Yugi can do nothing but lose.

Episode Rating (1-10) 8.2 Much better!  There Relinquished and Thousand Eyes cards are awesome in the Duel in the Shadow Realm.  Yugi giving everything to help beat Pegasus is one of the best parts in the whole series.  He's willing to do anything to help others with a just cause.
