        EPISODE GUIDE

               Episode # 15 - Winning Through Intimidation

In the English Version, this episode was combined with

Episode 14 to make one episode.

Yugi and Panik are both convinced that they will win the duel.  Yugi had played the Swords of Revealing Light and illuninated the field.  For the first time he can see Panik's monsters, King of Yamimakai, Barroks, and Dark Chimera.  Panik is scared and puts a force field on his Castle of Dark Illusions so Yugi cannot attack it.  Mai and the others are again worried about whether or not Yugi can win.  He boldly announces to Panik that intimidation and cowardice will not help him with this duel.  Panik is angry and activated the flame shooters around Yugi.  Yugi uses his Polymerization card to fuse Gaia the Fierce Knight and Curse of Dragon to Gaia the Dragon Champion.  He stays to his claim and tells him he has two turns left.  Panik plays Metal Guardian but refrains from attacking out of cowardice.

Yugi's final turn begins.  He plays Catapult Turtle and launches his Dragon Champion into the Castle of Dark Illusions.  When the dust clears, Yugi's Gaia is gone and the Castle of Dark Illusions remains on the field.  It merely lost it's floatation ring.  Panik mocks Yugi and says his bet that he would win in Five turns was a foolish statement.  Yugi stays confident and tells everyone that he will win before Panik's turn begins.  Yugi's Swords of Revealing Lights begin to fade releasing all of Panik's monsters from their paralysis.  Panik begins to make his turn but Yugi points out that without the floatation ring, the castle cannot stay in the air.  Before the Swords were holding it in place.  But without them, the castle begins to fall.  Panik tells his monsters to run, but they are trapped in his own Chaos Shield.  The impact destroys all of his monsters and takes his Life Points down to 0.  Yugi had won the match.  Panik is furious and uses the flame throwers to try and kill Yugi.  The Millennium Puzzle protects Yugi and his friends.  As the flames clear, Yugi stands strong and sends Panik to the Shadow Realm.  With Panik gone, Yugi tries to give Mai her star chips back.  At first she refuses saying it wasn't Yugi's responsibility to get them back for her.  But when Joey jokes and says he'll take the star chips if she doesn't, the gets annoyed and takes them from Yugi.  With her star chips returned, Mai promises Yugi that she will repay him someday and both of them look forward to dueling each other someday.

Episode Rating (1-10): 8.5  Yugi and his friends are starting to get through to Mai and we realize that she isn't the bad person she started out to be.  She is starting to realize the importance of friends.  The dueling was interesting with the Catapult Turtle attack.  It's not a bad episode.
