Lifetime Achievement Award

At the annual meeting, the Conservancy presented a Lifetime Achievement Award to Dr. Bruce Jones. He has been involved continuously and without tire in countless educational and land conservation projects over several decades. We applaud Dr. Jones for his efforts and accomplishments as co-founder and first President of GINLC. Along with Conservancy co-founder Bill Heinrich, he envisioned the potential of converting the Nike Site to a Grosse Ile Nature Area and worked tirelessly to make it a reality. We have all benefited from Bruce’s commitment, his motivation, and his unceasing and interminable dedication to the mission of the Conservancy. Thank you, Bruce, for all you’ve done, continue to do, and for inspiring us on this journey.
