Earth Day

Our annual Earth Day Celebration will take place at the Centennial Farm on Sunday April 26th at 1PM.  Plans include educational games, prizes, displays, recycling and re-use stations, along with a guided walk along the Centennial Farm trail, weather permitting.

Thanks to our township and Boy Scout Troop 1261 there will be wood chips from the fallen ash trees along the path, so boots shouldn’t be necessary.  The Re-Use station will be a return of the Bring One-Take One toy exchange to be hosted by our local Girl Scouts.

Throughout the day we will be joined by Jed Bromfield, The Butterfly Man, who will have numerous specimens available on display, some living, others not, some to touch, some to just observe.  We are also organizing our first wildlife photo contest for our local middle and high school students and are hoping to have a nice display of entries.  We’re also hoping for a day filled with sunshine, but even if it’s not, we hope you’ll join us for an interesting program!
