The Introduction says alot about the Master Stansell. His martial arts training started when he was six years old. But he was unlike most six year olds that learn martial arts. A traumatic thing had happened that caused him to want to pursue

the martial arts. He truly wanted to learn how to defend himself. It never was just a hobby. It was always a way of life for Master Scott Stansell. Dojos were different back then. It was very strict and age not a factor when it came to discipline. All students were treated the same no matter what age they were. Such was the atmosphere of the small school that taught Pei Do Shaolin Kenpo by Grandmaster Pei.

Many years have went by since then and Grandmaster Pei has long since passed away. Master Stansell served in the U.S. Army Infantry among other MOS's and duties. He began to study other styles such as Shorin Ryu and Goju Ryu. He began to moonlight as a nightclub bouncer in 1985. This was a part time vocation that went on for about 12 years. This really showed him some insight in how people fight and how they attack. It was in 1986 he began to research human psychology and anatomy in reference to fighting applications. His research and theories were tested and proven in real situations throughout his personal and professional life. Little by little, he re-invented himself in the way he practiced and applied martial arts. He began an endless progression in martial arts that still continues to progress to this very day. Eventually, he gave it a name, though quite reluctantly. Many people have asked him what the name of this unorthodox style was. He had different answers for different people, depending on who they were. Most of the time he would answer with, "Kenpo, mixed with a little of this and a little of that." He finally came up with an official name for his style. Most of his training was in Kenpo and the Kenpo roots were evident in his style. He referred to Grandmaster Pei as the "Dragon" and looked up to him almost like a father figure. Therefore, he named his style "Lung Tsu Do," or Way of the Dragon's Son.

Alot went into the creation of Lung Tsu Do Kenpo. Not only alot of research and theory testing, but Master Stansell also recieved many injuries along the way, but nothing that he couldn't bounce back and learn from. Now you can take a less painful route in learning what he learned over the years. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced martial arts student, you'll gain some insight from this intructional manual. Who knows, what you learn here may one day save your life.
