KWC
Beretta 92FS Gas Blow Back Pistol
Review by: YouNG BLooD
The
format of this review will be a little different than the others, so bear
with me. I'll mainly talk about the cosmetics, then the pros, the cons,
the costs and an overall view of this pistol. So let's get started yea?
Appearance
:
-The Beretta cannot be
only judged by it's appearance, for that alone cannot determine it's
efficiency and reliability in the field. The gun feels heavy in your hand
though, and it's a damn good feeling to hold this mighty fine piece of
work. If you have seen the movie "Snatch" like I have, a brief
statement from Boris the Blade comes to mind when holding this pistol.
"Heavy is Good, Heavy is Reliable...", you know the rest! Metal
parts include the trigger, safety lever, clip, clip release, hammer,
slide lock and that little lever you use to field strip the gun (haha I
dont know what it's called, so sue me). Fortunately, the safety switch on
top of the gun is usable on both sides, so leftys and rightys can both use
this Beretta. Though there are a few minor differences between the KWC
Beretta and the Tokyo Marui Beretta (most notably the fact that instead of
government markings on the gun, there are KWC ones all over it), I think
both versions accurately portray the look of the real Beretta. If you
don't believe me, buy both versions. And since you wasted your money,
you might as well run around with both of them and gun it Max Payne
style.
Pros
:
-The blow back
function of this gun is nice ; it adds a feeling of realism and military
simulation, which separates Airsoft from Paintball.
-Markings like serial numbers and
textured grip also adds to the nice portrayal of the real steel version.
-The slide locks back when you run out of ammo, which is really cool. No
dry-firing and such.
-Hammer goes back and slams forward like a real gun (it's the little
things that make a difference ya kno?)
-Shoots accurately for about 40-50M, giving it almost the same rage as an
AEG. A GBB couldn't hurt as a backup/secondary weapon when you dont have
time to reload or ran out of ammo for your AEG
Cons
:
-Gas only
lasts for about two clips. Of course I knew this was going to happen, it's
all because of the blow back!
-Slamming the clip in too hard literally locks up the gun for some reason.
It's logical not to force it in, but it's quite agitating because every time
you have to reload with this KWC Beretta, you have to be really gentle
with it.
-Safety doesn't work sometimes. (::points to index finger:: "This is
my safety...")
-Prone to jamming
-Fixed hop-up , meaning it's non-adjustable.
Overall
:
-This gun is fine if you don't mind blowing 100-some odd dollars. I just
got the KWC Beretta because I found a good deal when I had the money.
Please note that this review only applies to the KWC GBB Beretta Pistol,
and not to other makes of this fine handgun. If you could, I would
recommend using or buying the Tokyo Marui one. Gas Blow Backs just add
more fun to the realism of Airsoft. Buying gas is a pain and sometimes
applying it to the clip is a hassle. Also, gas is subject to cool-down,
lowering the efficiency of the gas. Overall, I would give this a 7.8/10
rating, or a C+.
Fun
Stuff :
-Here is an excerpt from the pamplet I got with this Beretta. Just thought
it was funny and it should bring laughter to your heart! (LoL)
"In
the beginning of using KWC Hop-Up Series, the hop-up phenomenon is not so
stable, because the affection of lube oil come from piston. After shot 100
pieces of bullet, the affection of lube oil is reduced to very low level.
Then the Hop-Up appears!"
Gotta
love them FOBs! Payce out my peoplez!
