The Spas 12 Pump Action / Spring Powered Shot Gun
Review by : SQuiD

Let me tell you what I call beefy. A couple days before I got mailed the Spas-12, I measured its length and noticed that it wasn't as big as I thought it would be. Since I'm only 5'1, I thought that it was a nice size for my short scrawny body and wouldn't be taller than  myself. The day I got it, I opened it slowly to enjoy the moment of anticipation and the stage of drooling, and right when I opened it, I stared at it for the longest time. I was just thinking to myself: "daaaaaaaammmmn......" and after my room became a pool of drool, I wonder how scary it'll look when I carry it around the battlefield with a devilish smile. Let me tell you this, its f*kking huge!!! Those small-ass Tokyo Marui pics won't even compare!! When I first got it into my hands and looked through its steel sites, I was like "daaaaaaaaaaaannnnng". Life couldn't get any better than this moment. I began thinking that I was a pimp and a gangsta and a god with it in my hands but that was all just childhood dreams. My baby sister wanted to touch it , but I just ran away laughing psychotically.

After the nights I gave up taking it out to stare at it for 5 minutes and putting it back, I observed the parts of the gun ; solid, the barrel section of the gun was really heavy. Heavy enough to tear away at the joint of your arms if you decided hold it with one hand. The color of the sturdy ABS plastic didn't match the exact colors of the real steel but who cares right? All we want to do is pound away at neighbor cats and if in the mood, at our own leg just to appreciate its power. Hell yeah........ anyways, shooting it is like a dream. The first day I got it, I had no clue how hard it was to cock. But the first time I cocked it, I felt like helpless moving sh*t with arms trying to smother it in sweat. I couldn't cock it for the longest time because either I was just a weakling or my hands were sweaty from looking at it. But in a couple hours I got used to the hardness and in just an hour I learned how to make it sound like a semi-automatic. The only "f*kk yeah" noises to be heard downstairs were "chuk-chuk....kablam!" Damn it feels good to hear the sounds of cocking. After you cock it for about 20 times, your arm starts to die on you and cocking gets harder and harder. But my secret in getting it to cock easy is to get a really firm grip on the cocking handle and cock as fast as you can. The slower you cock it, the harder it is to cock.

Shooting is just plain fun. My cousin, Vile, has a tight-ass SIG-551 SWAT and
had a soda can for target practice. We were just shooting at it and sometimes when my cousin wasn't in the mood for aiming, he would miss and waste a couple of rounds. I would gladly do the job in one shot! Talk about spread, this gun kicks ass in hitting multiple targets! I can't believe how easy it is to hit a can from 30 feet away. You barely need to aim because at least one of the three BB's would hit it. My cousin and I was testing how the weight of different BB's differ. We loaded 0.12g BB's in the sickly real looking shell and when we shot, the BB's would shoot at first 2 inch spread for about 10 feet and slowly widen its spread about half a foot. At the 25 feet mark the BB's would whirl outwards just like a normal hop up gun. The BB's finally dropped at about 40 feet. I appreciate it even though it isn't an accurate gun for sniping but because how much power it has and how much I would be laughing if 3 BB's hit dead on at a targets head when they are less than 20 feet away. wahahahahahaha....(evil smile slowly forming on my face). OK, now we tried it with the 0.2g bbs. I feel that when I shoot with the heavyweight BB's, it is slightly more accurate and painful than the 0.12g. The BB's first spread  half a feet when shot for about 30 feet and slowly fly downwards until it hits the ground. The range is about 40 feet for my Spas-12. After test firing the gun I went inside to play "Perfect Dark" with Youngblood and Vile because I was in the mood of being trigger happy and shooting.

Sooner or later, ill be getting a lot more shells and the 5 shell clip for the side of my Spas. I don't want the stock because it looks really stoopid and it would just slowly weigh my body down. The Benelli is a better idea if you want the sturdy stock but I think that I can aim around faster without the stock.

The rest of the Spas 12 is better explained at Airsoft Zone. I don't want to explain the parts that I merely give a rat's ass about and think you should know the rest about the gun through the reviews of the informational airsoft sites (probably just because my hand is tired of typing but mostly the "I don't give a crap" thing).

In conclusion, the gun is very, very cool. It makes you feel like God holding it and it looks so monstrous that my cousin and I put our guns side - by - side just to stare at it for great amounts of time. Hell, sometimes I sleep with it. The cocking and shooting is a dream and you will always appreciate the power of it. This gun is an ideal gun for room clearing with the hold-the-trigger-and-pump-away-semi-automatic-trick. I'm just worried that silent missions aren't the ones you use the shotgun for. The cock, shoot, and rock and roll is pretty loud (about 10 spring pistols put together) and the noise can put a ringing noise in the ears if shot closely to your face. Other than that, this gun just rocks. I cant be happier to own one for Point man position and shooting at mooks.
