Steyr AUG (Military Version) with 2X15 Scope / AEG
Written by : Joker

This review will consist of concrete detail about my gun or guns like it. I will also add in slight bits of my commentary. But this review will explain different qualities of this gun. First off I want to say this is an extraordinary gun. I personally love it and recommend the purchase of one like it for anyone! But if you do get one ,when we play, you're on my side!

Ok there are several different models of AUG: Stealth, Military, Civilian, Cyber. I will mainly talk about the military AUG ‘cause it's the one that I have. Civilian and military AUGs are very similar. The main difference is when you buy a Civilian AUG, it does not come with a scope, and it's black. The military one is a kind of olive green color and comes with a scope but it is pretty weak. It will only magnify 2x15 ( about 1.5 times). You can't change the military's scope, it is there permanently! I don’t really care much ‘cause I don’t really plan on becoming a sniper. But if you are interested in using the scope buy the civilian version and mount your own on it. Scopes are not cheap though... if you want a good scope they can get really expensive!!

The AUG is a bull pup design. This means that the motor is in the very back,  in the stock. It also means that the action is taking place right under your face as you shoot. There are pros and cons to this bull pup design. The cons is that the magazine clip is placed further back, making it a bit harder to change clips (you'll get used to it). Also a lot of the weight is in the back. There is not a real big problem there because somehow the gun balances itself out and fits into a comfortable position right against your shoulder. The pros are: the gun can have a longer barrel but at the same time keep a smaller total length. The AUG is shorter than the PSG-1 in length but boasts a longer barrel then the PSG1’s. If you are unaware, the longer the barrel is, the greater the accuracy is.

The AUG has a EG700 motor in it, which is one of the faster motors. It is a small step down from FD’s M4A1. This gun pumps out bb after bb in a high rate with fast speed. Leaving your poor miserable opponents with 80 welts all over their body.

The mags are located behind the trigger handle. Each mag hold 80 bbs. Now earlier I said it was a little harder to change an AUG's clips... but each clip holds 20 more bbs than all other guns so you shouldn’t have to change clips that  often... Unless you are a trigger happy moron, Chris Predeas!

The AUG is a semi or full auto gun. A pretty cool quality that is unique to the AUG is it select firing mechanism. In order to fire a semi-auto shot you put the trigger back half way. To unload a clip at full auto, just pull the trigger back all the way. This concept comes in very handy when wanting to change your rate of fire while shooting. For example, You see that your single shot miss, then just pull the trigger all the way back. No messing with little switches that can end up screwing you up. The safety is located above the trigger area. It is a little button that protrudes ( no need to get a dictionary, protrude means to stick out) from either end depending  if its on or not. If the safety is on, it will show a little white dot on the protruding button. If not on, it shows a red dot..

Field stripping is taught to military personal who operate the real gun. This gun field strips just like to it's real steel counterpart. It comes apart into 3 segments making it very easy to upgrade, clean, store, etc,...

The AUG weighs in at a good 8 pounds ( give or take a few ounces). This is almost exactly the same weight as it's real counterpart. Now the first thing that a person says when the pick this thing up is “ wow this is heavy!” Well if you can’t carry a good solid 8 pound riffle, then you shouldn’t be playing this sport! And There is no room on my field for wussies!

This gun is very cool!! Buy it if you want. But if you can’t handle the extreme power and greatness of the AUG then jump on the bandwagon and go buy a MP-5 like everyone else in this nefarious world has. The gun looks like it does in the portrait. If you think my review SUCKS then e-mail me and tell me, also if any info was wrong (highly unlikely) then tell me.
