HOME               FAMILY                FILIPIINO CANOES             FEATHERWIND
Here is Sea Angel in her current state.  Almost!  Flotation-storage compartments installed, steering rope around the perimiter of the seating section and three part mainsheet installed and working marginally.   But then that's another story.
Uncluttered open interior.   You can see the 1/4th inch ply compartment rear closure just ahead of the mast.  Steering system is shown pretty well in this picture.
With the sail brailed up the cockpit if you want to call it that is very open and nothing intrudes to the crew space.  I think I could fish from here easily and haul in a lunker.  Leeboard is resting on a piece of coco lumber.
And here she is at the current state of incarnation.  Sail brailed, hatches battened, lines neatly coiled and ready to go to sea.  I have to add that the steering system using a rope and pulleys with eyelets is a blessing.   No need to worry just move to the other side on a tack or jibe and take hold of the line.  Super simple and with the bungee holding the line in the bow; see the forward attachment point.  (the cabinet handle in the front...)  I can flex the line for very small rudder adjustment with a twitch of the fingers.  It's great.

More mods to come,  ie:
