This shows the forward hatch and the bungee system to hold it in place while underway.
You can see the two piece paddles I bought for 100 pesosl in the bottom
here. That's about $1.80US. Not great but they move the boat and
work OK. |
Prating is working on the leeboard here. If you look just under his wrist
you can see the outlline of the lead insert poured to give weight to the board
and keep it down while underway. It works!!! |

Leeboard installed on the boat and ready for sea trials. She performed
very well. i have now added a bungee that holds the board forward and a
line to pull it aft. I think it's enough to get the balance of the
boat right for any point of sail. Well hope so anyway. We will see
tomorrow , Feb 29, 2004 if the weather holds.. . |
