There are several options available today for homeowners who want to help their homes "breathe" and improve their indoor air quality.
The first and most simple step is to ventilate your home by opening windows and letting fresh air inside. The use of ceiling fans can also help circulate this "fresh" air in certain rooms. But this solution remains somewhat insufficient, as it's difficult to ventilate each room in your home without excessive energy losses in winter. Not to mention this outside air is not filtered and may contain many pollutants and allergens as well.
Another option is to install fans and humidifiers in high humidity areas like bathrooms, kitchens and basements.
