In Your Arms

***I wrote this one when i was inspired by a loving and dear friend of mine (you know who you are) to write something positive, because as you may have noticed my poems tend to be sad, depressing or horriffic, so on his advice i tried my hand at this, something i felt was a positive. Thanks to your encouragement i was able to write this beautiful poem.***

Here I stand, safely in your arms.

Protected from the world beyond.

Nothing exist but this.

All the world fades away and all that’s left is you.

I cling to you tightly, too afraid to let go,

never wanting this moment to end.

Slowly you rock me, holding me close,

whispering “I love you” sweetly in my ear.

But this you need not say

for you’ve told me in so many other ways.

It’s in the way you hold me,

so close, so tenderly.

It’s in your gentle touch,

as you softly caress my lips.

It’s in your loving gaze

as you look deeply into my eyes.

It’s in your hungry kisses that leave me breathless.

It’s in your sexy smile,

your deep green eyes and dazzling dimples.

Your everything I’ve dreamed for and more.

You’re my strength, my courage, my protection.

You’re my love, you’re my everything.

You complete me, make me feel whole.

I sigh contently while you hold me

safely in your arms.
