I’m so numb
I can’t feel the pain
I’m so numb
I can’t hear his shame
I’ve lost all feeling
I’ve lost all vain
I’m shielded from his torture
I’m protected from his pain.
I wish I could stay here
in this numbness and haze
and be forever sheltered
from the worlds blaze.
But you won’t let me stay here
wont let me decay
You try to gently
bring me out of the haze.
You take me in your loving arms
becoming my protection,
my shield from harm.
And rock me slowly
Love me only.
and take me away
from my numbing haze.
