-What You Clicked On-

This is the NEW Mega Man X RPG. I have changed some of the rules around, making the game more fun to play. You can check out the old rules here, but they are the old rules. There will be new rules for this RPG.

The RPG's rules will be split into a couple of parts: Battle, Everyday Stuff and Upgrading. There is also a list of things before every section, telling you what is in the section.

Battle

Actual Battle, Recovering, Power Ups, Winning

Actual Battle- The battles that you play in are very important in this game. First off, some ground rules for the battle portion:

No God Mode (although there is a Semi-God Mode)

No one ever "dies". They just get taken out of battle and need repairs.

No "I did too do this!" stuff. The GM is the boss. What I say goes!!

The only other Semi-God Mode requirements are as follows:

  1. All Armor Upgrades
  2. All Heart Tanks
  3. All Sub Tanks
  4. Hyper Armor Upgrade

These are what you need to have these to be even considered for Semi-God Mode. I say Semi-God Mode because I want the game to be balanced. If everyone had God Mode, it would throw the game out of whack, and we don't want that! The Semi-God Mode is for a good reason. 1) It allows players to be powerful, but at the same time still vulnerable to enemy attacks, and 2) It allows players to explore every place, and once having every Upgrade is achieved, they feel like they accomplished something.

The Battles in this RPG are as follows: small, two person skirmishes; bigger, multi-player battles and the finally huge, all player battles! Unfortunatly, for the huge battles, only one person can be leader for each side. And they must be elected by the other players on that team! ie: Maverick players can vote for who they want as Leader of that battle. You can never be leader of huge battles twice. Only once and then, once everybody has had a chance to be the leader, then you can go again. This is to make it less confusing for me and a lot easier to referee.

Once in a while, there may be a huge crisis that the two teams need to overcome. ie: a huge meteor is headed for Earth and the Reploids and Mavericks have to join together to beat it. This is just one example. But I like to throw stuff around while the game is on. This keeps it interesting.

Actual battle in the game is simple. You simply e-mail me with your attacks against whoever you are fighting. Then I do my little calculating (which is actually flipping a coin, I shit you not!) and then I give you the outcome. This is very easy stuff, isn't it? Then the other person goes. Very basic, easy stuff. That means all the players have to do is remember what attack they are doing.

On the Subject Of Upgrades...

When it comes to upgrades, I am gonna say that it takes about four months to really search everything and find all four Upgrades. This keeps the game interesting. Plus you have to kill off every boss or have every boss dead before you start searching. I will post which bosses are dead, so don't worry. Then I will announce that everybody can start searching.

The Upgrade Info-

Helmet- Once you have this, you can just ask me where everything is. The Helmet has a built in Receptor that tells you what is in what level.

Armor- The Armor gives the player a boost in energy and it protects from critical hits. It also puts up a small energy field that protects for a further 5 seconds.

Boots- The Boots give you an extra boost of speed when you need it. All the user has to do is think to dash and the Boots launch them forward or up into the air at speeds of up to 200 km/h!

Gun- The Blaster upgrade is unique. It gives the user extra power behind their shots. They can charge up the shots to generate great power. Two shots can be linked to give off one huge blast!

Hyper Upgrade- This gives the user a golden look and enhances all of their upgraded parts. The Gun can link three shots together, the Boots can be used twice in a row, the Armor gives off a stronger energy shield, and the Helmet gets a Laser Guidance System, allowing for more accurate shooting. Any weapons, like Beam Sabers or Boss Powers, are also enhanced.

Recovering-Players need to recover after battle. If you are damaged, it takes a while to recover in the Repair Bay. The length of time it takes to repair depends on how much damage you took:

  1. 1 hit- 2 days
  2. 2 hits- 4 days
  3. 3 hits- 6 days
  4. 4 hits- 8 days
  5. 5+ hits- 15 days

Usually if you took more than 5 hits, you blank out and wake up fully repaired, but minus all upgrades and weapons you had. The damage you took was too much to keep them online. You can get the weapons and upgrades back, but you must pay for them. Since money is not used in the new game, you can take a mission to regain them.

Recovering in Battle can be done, but you need someone who is a Medic. I will get into the RPG jobs later on this page. The Medic can repair one hit per turn, so they are infinitly helpful.

Power Ups- Power ups ar all over the game. They can be in the form of an Armor upgrade or a Life Capsule like in the NES and SNES games. They help you in different ways. You must find power ups to use them.

Winning- You win by totally defeating your opponent. You can do this in a number of ways:

You can hit them until they must be repaired
  1. You can smash them with something

    OR

  2. You can lure them off a cliff, thereby making them take full damage and be repaired immeadiatly

Everyday Stuff

Everyday that your player is not fighting other players. You can do basically anything you want. You can train, get a job or any other real-life everyday thing that people normally do. The sections in this area are as follows: Jobs, Training, Other

Jobs

Jobs are the lifeblood of the world. You can have the following jobs:

    Jobs
  1. Mechanic- Repaired one day faster than normal
  2. Soldier- Hits once more for every attack made
  3. Armorer- Each hit counts as a half
  4. Scout- Each hit outdoors counts as a half
  5. Weaponsmith- able to make custom weapons based on Boss powers
  6. Blacksmith- every hit counts as a half OR every attack gets an extra hit

Training

Training updates your character's attacks and defenses. If done on a daily basis, these can become very powerful assests in battle. You can train in the following ways:

    Training Methods
  1. Defense- every 5 training sessions for this attribute, hits count as half
  2. Attack- every 5 training sessions for this attribute, each attack gets an extra one

Other

Other is for the stuff that doesn't fit into the Other categories. Stuff like the Store and Buffing Shop.

Store- You can purchase several things from the store that will help you in the game. This is split into sections too: Power-Ups, Defense and Expensive Items.

Power-Ups

Buster Upgrade- After several missions, your Buster may get run-down by your standards. You can purchase an Upgrade in exchange for a contract on 5 missions. The Upgrades include:

    Buster Upgrades
  1. Armor Piercing- Every attack gets an extra hit, which goes through the armor of the enemy.
  2. Bomb Blast- The hit only counts as a half against a single enemy, but it counts as 2 against 3 or more enemies.
There are some more expensive Upgrades, available after 10 missions:
    Super Upgrades
  1. Ultron Buster- this upgrades the Buster so that it counts as 2 hits every time, plus it has a built in shield, so that every weapon that has extra stuff hits you, it negates all extra rules.
  2. Gunsmith Rocker- this puppy has enough fire power to take out an entire army, but it only gets one use every 10 missions, and you may miss. It has a 50/50 hit percentage.

Defensive Upgrades

These enhance your armor. Most will just give you the half hit advantage, but some will do more:

    Defense
  1. Shield- this gives you a half hit advantage, plus it gives you extra protection for 2 turns.
  2. Red Shield- does exactly what the regular shield does, except for 4 turns instead of 2.
  3. Blue Shield- does exactly what the regular shield does, except for 6 turns instead of 2.

Armor

This section is all about the different Armors that are represented in the Mega Man X games. Note: For every TOTAL Armor upgrade your character recieves, you need to make a new Sprite.

V- Armor

V- Helmet- your basic Helmet. Protects against head trauma.
  1. Body Plate- your basic chest piece. Protects against piercing hits.
  2. Leg Armor- your basic Leg Armor. Allows for a longer jump.
  3. V- Buster- your basic Buster upgrade. Allows for stronger shots.

Upgrades For Armor

  1. Falcon Upgrade- Upgrades Armor to Falcon Armor. Allows for short flights.
  2. Gaea Armor- Allows for extra protection, plus it allows you to break rocks to access secret areas!
  3. Fourth Armor- More upgraded version of the V- Armor.
  4. Hyper Armor- The user glows a bright gold color and can fire huge linked shots.
