ROSWELL HIGH ROBOTICS CLUB |
~You might not know it but there are many students out there who are future engineers. Even if the students aren’t planning on becoming engineers, robotics gets them interested. Robotics isn’t just for future engineers; it is for everyone. In robotics students learn more about technology, make new friends, learn how to work as a team, and solve real-life technologic problems. Starting a team isn’t hard because once anyone sees a robotics competition they will want to be part of a team.
~Starting a Team~
-If you’re a student wanting to make a robotics club talk to your friends and get them interested; show them a competition. Then talk to your counselor and he/she could help you find a potential teacher sponsor. A teacher sponsor doesn’t have to be the schools technology teacher; he/she could be a science, math or any type of teacher. So ask around!
-If you’re a teacher or parent wanting to form a robotics club at school, there is an enormous possibility that there are students interested. You should talk to students get them interested and talk to a counselor or a principal and have them help you. If you’re a teacher have a field trip arranged to go an upcoming competition to spark an interest in students. You could also visit local teams, ask them questions that you might have, and they will be happy to assist you.
