The primary objective of Feng Shui is to restore balance and create harmony. While waiting for that all important trained Practitioner, here are some DIY tips :
[1] Keep areas free from clutter or mess. Furniture that is too large would restrict or even block the flow of 'qi'. Check out all nooks and cranny for creepy crawlies and spider webs.
[2] Bad energy can be dismissed by the sound of metallic objects, such as a wind chime. Hang one up at Southeast direction (where the 5 yelow are residing in 2003). We do this to disperse the negative impact of this star and possibly remove all 'sha qi' (bad energy) from your dwellings.
[3] The element of water : Place water in the East (for 2003) to attract wealth and prosperity. Do not place water in the West as it spells financial hardship, especially for the partriach of the family.
[4] Decay versus Beauty : Healthy green plants release excellent 'sheng qi' (positive energy). So your plants start to wither, do discard them as they could have absorbed the bad energy for you. If you place green plants at sharp corners, you will realise they wither faster than you would at one that's nots sharp. Sharp corners of walls emit 'poison arrows' that can cause illnesses, loss of jobs, breakups in marriages, etc. So be careful about having plants in your dwellings, offices or homes. A general rule : if an item no longer holds a tinge of beauty or good fragrance, it's not good Feng Shui !
