Distinguishing characteristics: Jules has been blind since birth and
has a white glaze over the brown of her eyes. She wears sunglasses around the
clock and wears opera gloves even in the middle of summer.
Occupation: Jules mostly lives off her inheritance from both her
parents and her grandmother with whom she lived with most of her life. She has also
contracted out to various police departments and private investigators
for use of her psychic abilities, although she is extremely particular on
which jobs she takes as they have always taken a toll on her.
Knows about any of the various Orders? No.
Any other languages: Knows various phrases and words in latin and
gaelic but does not speak either fluently.
Personality: Jules is a fairly solitary person and quiet. Some have
considered her stand offish but she learned at an early age that the
merest brush of the hand can set off visions she was not prepared for.
Although she has since learned to shield herself she still is very careful around
people, still wearing gloves and keeping contact to a minimum. She is actually
quite sweet and giving once you get to know her and the fact that she has to
turn people down who asked for her help eats her up, but she knows she has
to protect herself first.
Any special skills?: Jules is a powerful empath and
can see both the past and possible future in people and items by touch.
History: Jules was actually born just outside of Aleister Cove but was sent to live
with her grandmother at the age of five. She came into her powers early and
spent hours crying because she saw the death of her puppy, people getting
hurt and other things that she could not explain.
While her parents had no
special abilities themselves her grandmother was a witch and it was decided
that she could best help Jules learn how to control her abilities. Her
grandmother taught her how to build her shields and how to control her abilities to
a certain extent but even with the precautions Jules grew up a solitary
child, scared to trust that they would always protect her.
On top of
everything, she was also born blind. Her grandmother used to tell her it was so she
could see more clearly. Refusing to use a guide dog she carries a
walking cane instead, but can manuever quite well even without it, being able
to 'feel' obstacles around her.
Her grandmother passed away three years ago, leaving her the house in
Seattle and her parents passed just last year, killed by a drunk driver
who was in town during the tourist season. As of yet she has not been back
to her parents house, finding various excuses to put it off, but recently
she has been having odd dreams and something telling her she needs to go
back to the small town.
She has packed up a couple of suitcases and headed towards the seaside
village with plans to pack up the house finally and put it on the
market, tying up all lose ends.
Any Weapons: N/A
