Personality: Denise is a quiet girl who seems to be shy until the topic of conversation is one she is interested in. She tries to always be polite. Like her father, she can be very stubborn, and sometimes it is difficult to convince her that her opinions/actions are wrong. She tries to find a peaceful solution to all of life's problems.
Any special skills?: She worked as a mechanic before arriving in Aleister Cove so she knows her way around cars and bikes. She also knows how to fire, reload, and take care of an automatic pistol.
History: Denise is the only child of Henry and Selene Sinclair. Due to her job as a home health care nurse, Selene was rarely able to spend as much time as she wanted with her daughter. Inevitably Henry would have to watch and take care of Denise, and as a result the two became much closer than Denise and her mother. Her father’s influence caused Denise to grow up as something of a tomboy, loving cars and guns alongside tea parties and dolls.
As Denise entered high school, she began to date a young man named Joseph Cooper. The two continued to date throughout high school and onto their attendance of the community college. In their two years there, Denise completed the college’s Auto Mechanics and Repair Technology program while Joseph took care of his general education requirements. It is during this time that the two moved in together, sharing a small inexpensive one bedroom apartment. Money was tight, but they were mostly happy. Denise started working at a local garage while Joseph continued to attend class in hopes of eventually having a successful career in law. Joseph eventually had to leave their hometown in order to finish his education. The plan had been for Denise to follow him after Joseph had settled in his new place. After he had been gone for two months, Denise received a call from Joseph informing her that she would not have to worry about moving—he no longer wanted to be with her.
Distraught and hurt, Denise spent the next month or so in an almost trancelike state, simply going through the motions of her everyday life. She had quit her job to prepare for the move, she had let the lease run out on the apartment and had been staying with her parents, what was she going to do now that her plans for the future were destroyed? She could not stay where she was. She felt trapped. Desiring a fresh start, Denise loaded her belongings into her car and, after a tearful good-bye to her parents, headed out to find a place to start over. California seemed as good enough a place as any to start looking...
Any Weapons: The only weapon she has is her great-grandfather’s handgun. It is a Colt 0.45-Inch Automatic that he had received during World War I. The gun was supposed also used years later to drive off an intruder who had been broken into his home and attacked his then-pregnant wife. Since then, the gun has been seen as both a good luck charm and a source of strength for the Sinclair family.
