Gnomes Gnomes are by far the most unique humanoid when it comes to food, for gnomes are herbivores. The lack of meat in their diet does not mean that their meals lack hardy foods or savory flavors, nor do their meals consist of “rabbit food”. Gnome cooks, like other gnome craftsmen, are meticulous in their trade. Although rarely primary cooks for humans, due to their unique diet. Gnomes are often sought as part of a royal kitchen for their skill with gnomish cuisine. And humans who have had the fortune of tasting gnomish dishes often look forward to the opportunity to sample them again. Mushrooms: Like the dwarfs, gnomes use mushrooms in their diet, creating savory flavorful dishes that some have insisted were flesh. Woodland mushrooms are collected and used fresh or cooked. Gundroast: A loaf made from ground mushrooms, grains and vegetables, herbs and spices for flavor, usually baked on a stone. Note: this is not bread but a dense savory main dish similar to modern meatloaf.
