I'll start with yesterday- woot to the rookies, they were doing really well. During lunch Alex, Lisa, and I went to Jessica McClintock to look at dresses for the dance (very early, I know, but they're having a huge sale)- that was fun, but nothing fit. I think I'm shaped funny. I forgot most of the day... Anyway, we went to esat dessert at Caitlin's, at which point Sean and I decided to go see pirates of the carribean :-P Great movie, even the second time. I saw my rookie at the movies :-D

Today... umm... I woke up, went to band. We marched with instruments today, which is good for us but hurts really bad at the time you do it. I got fitted for new shoes, but there were no more order forms and the copy machine was broken. I ran over to the office to make more copies and on the way, a squirrel growled at me from inside a trashcan on the quad. I told a janitor, lol. For lunch Brad took some people to the Press Box (thanks for the ride :-P) and the food was pretty shitty. Fun time, though.

We got to have getting-to-know-you time with our sections outside in the rain, and that was just loads and loads of fun. We have cool people! ummm... we had to decorate our field markers and I got sick of wrapping mine in orange thread so I just wrote "ORANGE" on them. Soon I'm going to Mark's (now that I've spent like 20 minutes trying to put on make-up in such a way that mom doesn't notice my horrific sunburn) to watch the Godfather, see you soon!

I was really happy with my rookie :-D Yay for people from AG!

It was a little strange having Caitlin there... It seems so different, when my mom invites her over for dinner and she actually has to leave and go back to her own apartment, and when my friends have to call her Ms. Teter...

After dinner we went to Space Savers together to look for an over-the-door ironing board holder- it was cool, we talked and sich. As we were getting out of the car, mom called from the backyard across the street that she was taking care of the neighbor's dog and would be home in a second- Caitlin decided we should go jump on their trampoline, since dad had been jumping on it with the dog a few minutes before. It was soo much fun in that little kid way- we were taking turns bouncing each other and talking about 'back in the day' and it hit me; she's still my sister, just the same as always.

OMFG
It's called a music orgasm, and it starts in your spine. Right as that chord fits into place, you can feel the tingling start- with volume it creeps up, and with the rockin high brass glisses barely audible through the lower foundation, it shoots right to the top of your back until you're forced to shiver and your jaw drops. Ten extra points for overtones :-)

Nightbeat was amazing. Even without the marching (it was standstill due to rain) it was... it was... ack. I can't even begin to describe. I want to march with the Blue Devils sooo badly, or maybe Seattle Cascades! *shivers*

I can't wait.

Only four easy payments of 29.95!
It has come to my attention that my thighs/ass/sides are very very very sore. I've decided to turn jazz running into the next fitness craze... I'll call it the "8-minute Jazz Run workout, available on video casette or DVD! Firm up your thighs, buns, and calves with this amazing system. In just 8 painful minutes, you learn to balance and take steps the size of nothing known to man, all while getting the great body you dream of!" The logo will somehow incorporate a gazelle...

Ahhh, it's great though. Yay.

There are simply no words.
I love it. You don't remember until it comes back... Of course, the shitty negativity isn't here yet, but this part... This is what I love. Call me a dork, do as you please, just know that I'm not asking you to be into something you know so little about, or even asking you to read this.

It's the beginning and the end that are the best. The few days of leadership camp, band camp, those first few practices, the first football games where you rock your socks off and really have fun in the stands. Then there's the end- those last competitions where you play it for the seniors, and for the year, and for yourself; when you know with complete certainty that there is no feeling so great as standing on the field with the lights blinding you, hardly able to breath, and you can still hear the note you cut off two seconds ago reverberating off of the metal and concrete valley you stand in.

And then there are the people, there with you every step of the way, there to make it worthwhile even in the lows of september. There are massages and inside jokes, fun and levity, all covering the great bond we have because unlike many of you who may be reading this we get it. We're there for each other, we have the same goals, we aren't afraid to talk, and we can even sit for hours and complain about how many times we've gotten "one time at band camp..." comments.

Just being there, going back over the basics we could do in our sleep, sightreading the music (with however much failure; it doesn't matter), goofing off with those people that we know so much about... It's barely the beginning, but a floodgate has already opened.

Condemn me as a band dork, but I love it.

cetgoddess: you're my hero
Markimark969: lol
Markimark969: just got 2 protect you from the violence of the movie u know
Markimark969: keep you safe and all
cetgoddess: mmhmm
cetgoddess: are you prepared to kill, incur injury, perish, or even STRIP in the name of this mission?
Markimark969: plus i need someone to hold me when the bad men with guns show up
Markimark969: ill do what it takes
cetgoddess: I'm honored!

*yawn*

My whole family plus my dog plus my sister's friend walked up to Ben and Jerry's earlier- we had been sitting around and being hyper (everyone included, from my dog to my dad). Dad kept ringing the doorbell then running back into the living room to confuse Bonnie when she ran to the door and didn't find anybody there... He's crazy.

The countdown to the end of my summer is slowly running out of minutes to count. I think next week will be fun, though, considering that we don't have to show up until 10 tomorrow and we only have to stay until lunch on tuesday. We get to go to nightbeat, too :-D

I can't wait to break in some rookies!

Well, I'm busy hearing dramah of old that is none of my business, so I'm done blogging. night!

My summer is over as soon as I go to bed tonight. I'll even have to go find my alarm clock and plug it back in. Damn.

I'm gonna go find some guitar tabs on the internet, and continue sporatically teaching myself :-)

Destroying the peace in SC, one town at a time :-P
I'm about to head out and go down to spend the night with my friend Ali. muahaha.

Meg and I went to Goodwill today, only to find that there was nothing to find. We went to Rugged Warehouse too, and bought some really ridiculous shoes :-D Woot to that!

I didn't update yesterday either, did I? hmm... I went to see Tomb Raider with Stern last night (it was too late to call anybody else to go along) and all I have to say about that is GAPING PLOT HOLES!! psh. Hollywood is so full of shit.

Warning: do not read unless you have seen Tomb Raider 2
Seriously, why did she bother going all the way to Africa and leading the bad guys there so she could just leave the box? Wasn't her mission to retrieve it and turn it over to the British government before the other guys got it? psh. If it had been at all realistic they just would have destroyed the orb as soon as they got it so that the box could never be found. Also, why was she so fucking distressed about killing Terry? She didn't love him, that was pretty evident throughout the movie. What a load. I hate movies like that.

Put on a shirt before you poke somebody's eye out!!
Good times, good times. Meg and I went to see Sinbad- there were many many sexual innuendos. muaha.

May it be known that I'm bummed that Lisa and Alex are rooming together- with only each other (so I heard). Yay for bonding, but don't shut yourselves out! I don't want to go a whole week without you two cool gals nearby :-) Can you say massages?!? Promise you'll be hanging out with everyone else plenty, too? lol, thought I'd be open about it and ask.

Mreh! I just got back from the ortho. It was gross- they did molds and stuff. All I can taste is plaster. I was hoping I'd get my retainer in a week or less, but because of band I won't get it until three weeks from now. That means I have to wear the finishing appliance of death until then :-(

Yesterday was interesting; I cleaned out my closet and dresser, and now have half as much clothing as I did, lol. We ate lunch/dinner (linner?) at Tony Roma's and looked at Sean's europe pictures and sich. Later Sean and I walked to Blockbuster and rented gangs of new york. Right after we watched it, I could have written pages on how disgusting humans are- 16 hours later, that passion has dissolved. If you ever want to lose faith in humanity, watch it.

So instead of going to bed I went upstairs and watched Southpark and Reno 911. It was the first episode of the latter- pretty funny. Okay, kinda funny. I liked the bit, "Hey now, be nice. I mean, she is an unfortunate looking woman..."

I tried to sleep after that (at 1ish), but after an hour of lying in bed and getting very pissed off at my CD player for not playing a burned CD and still not being able to sleep, I went back and flipped channels. I ended up landing on the Disney Channel, and watching the final episode of Boy Meets World. I almost cried, it was soo pathetic. I had watched the next-to-last one the night before... Every girl needs a guy like Corey. That's soo unfair. I watched the Travel Channel until like 3:30, then finally went to sleep.

There's no point to this entry. There's no point to any of my entries. I do have to say, though, that nobody ever comments!! bleh.

I have this desperate feeling about the end of summer- I want to catch it and hold it forever but it's ever fleeting. I don't know if I can stand three more years. Some people get their kicks out of school, but it bores me to death... Argh! I wanna finally break out of this mind-numbing cycle.
