Seeing as how I miserably failed at accomplishing my three summer goals, I'm extending them to become "Before I turn 16" goals. If you don't know them, don't ask. Also, goal 2.5 has been added: smoking a banana peel.

Abandon all hope ye who enter here...
It was posted in the humanitites room. I couldn't help but note it. Sooo... Not much to say about the day itself. Chemistry was so boring I nearly chewed my own head off. I have a nasty feeling about this one. I like the whole "what is humanities" discussion. It occured to me that I should love this class, considering that the only things we listed as humanities that I don't like are... literature and poetry. Fuck, that's half the class, isn't it? Ankenbruck scared me a bit, though i think it's cool that we're taking the AP exam. There are a bunch of kick-ass people in that class, it should be fun. Purvis was awesome, but I was expecting some kind of cooler greeting or first activity... All we did was info sheets and such. His info sheets had a spot to tell about yourself (and brag) which he strongly encouraged you to run out of space on, tell him more than he could possibly want to know, and have no inhibitions... so I treated myself to an OBP session. It felt good. Drew's the man for taking me to and fro (don't worry, we'll pay you tomorrow). I miss all you kids I don't have any classes with... man, it blows. Overall, it's not looking so bad. It seems like every year is just exponentially better than the last, so hopefully it'll continue that way.

Auto response from cetgoddess: Reading, then sleep, but first I'm taking a poll: You know how kids say "nanny nanny boo boo!"? Do you not agree that it is 'nanny' and not 'nana'? Please cast your vote. I only got two replies: chrisv958: NANA NANA KeG8701: its def. nanny

Whatever smokes your peel, man.
mmm... kudos to meg for that one. speaking of meg, she rocks my socks. band is more fun with her around :-D We had to get up and be at practice at 9, but it really wasn't so bad. We had circle drill and sich, then spent like an hour on pre-game. uuuhhh, not much else to say about it. I went to lunch with mark, kat, matt, beth, and caroline at the carolina soda shoppe, then home. I finished the first of three plays, so now the only summer reading I have left are two 35-page plays and that editorial. Bite me, editorial. Ah, and I babysat. Good kids, we just sat around and watched TV. The parents were thoughtful and came home early, but naturally, they forgot to pay me. I didn't say anything. "I wonder if people have changed over the summer." -Teresa I've changed so much. I can't put a finger on it- it's a mindset, a maturity thing. I look at things differently, and have a different view of myself. I have this panoramic view of everything that goes on around me that seems to get sharper, but... argh. I don't even know what I'm trying to say. Of course, that doesn't mean I feel any different about any people. I feel bad, like I've been neglecting some of my non-band relationships. I really don't mean to, and I promise that once school gets started (especially when football season ends) I'll be back to myself. Slap me if I'm ignoring you. Sorry to just brush on a couple of deep subjects. Mom is making me read, so g'night.

One time at Claire's house-
aah... I love band people. Open house was pointless. We played throught like six songs, then it started raining. Afterwards some people went to my house- it was a lot of fun. I'm really glad that my parents stayed relatively hidden (which has been a problem in the past)- so woot for that. Not much else to say... The band swim party is tomorrow, but I don't have to wake up early for anything so I imagine I'll finish the alchemist tonight. If I have any more profound quotes, I'll post them. Night :-) oh, and here's my entry from earlier that i didnt copy from my lj- sorry for the confusion, but i really can't decide which to use.... 4:25 pm - Can you break mirrors just by looking into them? climberman208: hes like im bored as fuck bc im grounded bc i got arrested lol... Anyway, I died my hair freaky-red. I'll get used to it :-P I went to Alan Daniel's- it was great, I recommend it. Yeeeep. So this morning I got my normal retainers and went to get my hair all funky. I started the Alchemist, and within an hour i was 75 pages into it. It's only 175 pages- woop :-) I like it a lot... My kind of book. "If someone isn't what others want them to be, the others become angry. Everyone seems to have a clear idea of how other people should lead their lives, but none about his or her own." -pg 16 How true. I really do love to book so far- gets me thinking. Welll, i gotta go to open house, then people are coming over here. More later!

In the interest of getting high:
I seriously considered smoking a banana peel earlier, but I couldn't find a lighter. I made a livejournal today, but I'm torn about whether to use that or this. What a delimma. One of my interests listed for lj is, I am not making this up, cookie thievery. I keep falling asleep whenever I try to read the Oresteia (sp??)... I woke up at 11:45 this morning, then slept off and on from 2 to 4. At like 8 I went to Mark's, but I left at 9. Muaha. After that Mom and I went to get teh alchemist, and I found a picture of the haircut I'm gonna get tomorrow (after I get my new retainer :-D). Hmm... I'm undecided as to whether I should post to my still relatively new angelfire blog, or my virgin lj. ...I'll just copy and paste :-P

argh.
I feel like such a bitch.
Slippery when wet...
^In reference to David's floor, of course^ Yep- so David's was fun. We watched Memento (relatively good, thought you need to actually watch for details) and got Chic-Fil-A and stuff. It was crazy- we were there without David or his parents, lol. That's when Phil spilled coke all over the floor and everyone vowed to get 'slippery when wet' tattoos. Band was a decent amount of fun, and I remembered that I do it for the football games and stands music. Ack. I'm such a bitch... It's one of those less obvious side-effects of band season hormones. We went back to David's for a few minutes, then saw "Tomb Raider"- ha. This particular version involved a wedding and memories of a pie. I'm about to fall asleep right here... night.

Wow.
*YAWN* ick, I haven't gotten much summer reading done. Anybody know for sure whether or not humanities people have to read things fall apart? Yepyep, so I just got home from Caribou- I went to meat Chris and hear about Europe real quick, but then DD and Lauren V showed up :-D I'm soo glad I got to see them. It was a party! [chris brags about going to the bahamas in january] DD: yeah, well, I'll go there my senior year and have more fun than you! Lauren: Road Trip!!! Last night I had to go to the pool with my cousins to keep them happy, and after a super-quick shower Sean took me over to MP to play capture the flag with Meg, Cathy, David, Mark, Stern, Andrew, and Charles. They had already finished one game by the time I got there, and the second game just kind of fizzled when neither of the teams felt like playing anymore. lol... There was a bit of group nudity, as well, but don't ask about that. Everybody walked over to Charles's house- we played pool and watched TV and awed over the color-changing pool. It was a lot more fun than it sounds :-D Yep- so I'm about to go to David's house for some movies, then go straight to band, then maybe back to David's. Woop! Ahhh. Damn complications.
