I'm back, and in a very poetic mood. Unfortunately for me, I can't stay on long because dad has to work in the morning-

One thing, though: Kudos to my sister for getting a job at Carmel!!!

Jetset, once again- ahem, hardly.
Well, I'm off to the thriving metropolis of Amarillo, Texas. Back sunday, I might have a couple chances to get online while I'm there so email/comment- whatever floats your boat!

On a lighter note
Someone drove into the mail boxes etc. next to caribou the other day- caribou had a "drive-thru special" posted right by the hole the car left.

Kept them low; didn't work this time.
My definition of a low expectation:
Bother to see me preceeding a month when you won't be able to.

{Edited: A few good paragraphs deleted for the sake of privacy, and in respect for people who I'm not mad at- I leave you with the beginning and the end.}

If you give a fuck, you'll call.

There go those damn expectations.
I forgot to keep them low. Shame on me.

It's been a pretty blah day. I've heard from more than one person what a horrible person I am- well, not horrible, but you know what I mean. Might as well. These are people whose opinions matter to me, but I can't possibly bring myself to just act like my usual self when I'm too worried about what they think. I mean, if I get criticized (I'm talking about even the light and playful criticism here) for merely talking, think of all the shit I'll get for doing the kind of eccentric stuff I do around people who I know approve of me!

"Forget what they think!" you say. Easier said than done, I say.

Fuck. How does it happen that the people you enjoy most you find the hardest to be enjoyable around?

Perhaps I don't enjoy them as much as I think I do. How can I, when I'm so uncomfortable? Was I ever not?

You think you crossed the fine line in the sand, but it seems you returned. Never sure, am I?

danadanadanadanadana neo danadanadanadanadana sporin!
If you don't get it, don't ask.

Wow, I had such a frizeakin good time at Cathy's. I was thinking about not going for one specific reason which will remain vague... it turned out to be a valid reason to stay home, but I had so much fun that it hardly mattered. Kung Pow was the most hilarious movie evAr! I know it looks stupid (maybe it is if you aren't watching with amazingly cool people) but it was really great.

Let's see, what did I do today? I played some grand theft auto, hooked up the old computer, played through the show music on trumpet for lack of proper intrumentation, and... of course, waited. I refer here to april 18th. [Fuck all tact]

"My agenda for today:
Pretend to do things and wait.
Think of ways to conceal the fact that I'm just pretending to be focusing on something while actually waiting fervently for something else, all while waiting.
And wait some more, while perfecting the art of faking a purpose.
Accidentally solve world hunger as a side activity, but not notice what I've accomplished because I'm too busy waiting.
Quit bothering with even pretending to be otherwise occupied and simply wait.
Then, maybe more waiting if time allows.
If still waiting early tomorrow morning, sigh and go to sleep."

lol. It's fun.

I think it's time for some hard-core SNL (now that I've seen the studio and all :-P)- night all.

Pops was fun last night- I met Jamie there (who I was vaguely afraid was still mad at me), and we walked around the mall. The fireworks lasted for like an hour, and they weren't even all that cool. Anyway, Jamie and I went to see the 10:20 charlie's angels at philips place. I wonder what the gross total is for the amount of money spent either surgically altering them or doing flashy camera tricks to get that barbie effect. internal organs? what? you need those?

Pardon my bitter nature on the subject.

Jamie spent the night, and we were up relatively late just talking about everything. It's so comforting to know that other people agree with you on stuff... Deep or not, it was loads of fun. Jamie went home at 8 to clean out her grandmother's condo (I cannot fathom such a feat of sleep-evasion without shuddering), but I went back to sleep until 12:30. It was beautiful.

I got a back-to-school shopping email from delias this morning... I nearly hyperventilated. If they ever do that again I'm suing.

So today I imagine I'll be honored with the privilege of doing nothing. thank you, shiva!
