I joined the 4th. Marines in Hawaii in 1964 and in 1965 we were shipped out to Okinawa..We weren't there but a month or so and was on board ship headed West at the time we did't know for sure where we were headed but soon found out.. Viet-Nam I was there from May 1965 to March 1966 after ending my tour there I was assigned to HQ Co. H & S Bn. Parris Island South Carolina MCRD. Where my job was to operate a fishing boat to take military personnel and there guests out on fishing parites. I had this ( tough ) job until I was discharged in Sept of 1967 with the rank of Cpl E-4

and was awarded 9 ribbons
